Its a good thing our Arabian sisters put their perspective out there so it doesn't get too cozy & depressing. We need to come out of that dark shit & get hopeful & not close up. We need to find ways to make progress inspire of the garbage around us. Mohamad Ali found a way to say what he wanted & he was so loved everywhere bc of his smile, comedy & eloquence...style! Through ppl like him, we all understood & sympathized with, the pains of racism, especially that of that freak called, the white westerner. Ali, never took himself too seriously, a great model for all of us.

In many places over the world, light skin was seen as more desirable or higher class because all around the world, the rich people would make their slaves or villeins or serfs work outside in the field under the sun where they would get tanned , while the upper class people would be able to relax indoors or under the shade and be less tanned. That is how light skin came to be associated with higher class in so many different regions of the world since such a long time ago.

Zara Ali From my perspective, He talked for 90% of the time in a group conversation. Wasn't nice of him. But still it's not a huge issue unless he claim to be an objective person. He was trying to be objective of the video but in here He said his point of view and didn't want to listen to others around him. Also, personally i don't like treating women rudely even if they are wrong. That's priniciple that i may cross it some day but i try to hold on to it.. That's my advice to him. Otherwise, i sense good intention but needs a bit behaviour adjustment and he will be very cool personality in my eyes. 🙂

I've read a lot of the comments and so I will respond to a few: 1- I don't believe that I was in a male dominated area, the last I checked it wasn't a gentlemen's club I was entering ,it was speakers corner. 2- Me asking Jedi to refrain from swearing was because I don't like profanity, and I assumed that when one is having an intellectual conversation swearing is not necessary. 3- For the brothers who feel ashamed by my attendance in the park I will say this: alhamdulileh I wear the hijab shar3ee, this enables me to have a voice and be a constructive member of society, I ask do you feel the same Shame when Ali dawah, Muhammad hijab, Abdel Hamid and shamsi speak at length numerous times shoulder to shoulder or face to face with women who are not even covered or is there a double standered here? 4- regarding me not understanding the plight of black people therefore I should not engage, who defines who is black and who is not, I agree I am NOT West Indian, I am African and proud. 5- sadly as a woman and a veiled women at that, I felt that I was dismissed, ridiculed, & silenced. I felt that the men there didn't want to hear our voices, we were annoying them; that behaviour perpetuates the stereo type of men dominating women. We are always told that the Muslim woman is subjugated, oppressed and silenced by Muslim men; however this time it was men from all walks of life that marginalised us. We are told to integrate, to join in, to voice our opinions, what better place to come than SC, I'm sad to say I left disheartened and sad and reading the comments has reinforced that feeling. Comments about me wearing a bin bag is water off a ducks back, those people are just imbeciles, But hearing women jump on the band wagon and applaud Jedi’s rudeness was sad, you demonstrate the saying that “women keep women down,”. Lastly, to the keyboard warriors who want to stone or lash me, don't say things you know you can't do, don't get it twisted, I may have come alone but I have plenty of men around me that will make it impossible for you to lay a finger on me, and live to tell the tale. Jedi & Alex I will not be entering in any debates with you again, I'm sure you meant no harm but your style of discourse is not for me. Best wishes, The Lady in the Veil.

The lady says 'It's not the religion, it's the culture' without understanding that religion marries itself to culture. Isn't Islam a part of an individuals life? Do all muslims have a personal relationship with Islam? A collection of individuals, a culture displays racism, how do you then separate Islam from the culture? Can religion separate from a culture whilst being a huge part of the people?

14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire 15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters That explain the verse 14 explaining the jesus has white wool hair... White of age.... and wool hair who on this earth has wool texture hair... that would be black people... you only need to look to see... 15 jesus feet like brass has if they burned in a furnace.. so when we burn anything in a furnace what colour would it be? Black.. if we are talking about skin then a very dark brown skin man... So jesus is explaining that he is a black or very dark skin man This is in the bible It's the description of jesus Revelation 1 - 14 and 15 They are talking about black roots.. who they are were they come from.. what happened to these people in history.. we can see from KZitem. Movies made about slavery etc.. but you can also learn about black people and their suffering in the bible. And the history.. The man in the video said about the bible... if we see in movies and other books of resources.. the bible was used to control black people in slavery.. Verses like:- obey your master There are many slavery made movies that these kind of verses was used to control.. As we know that when the slaves came over they were shipped to the 4 corners of the earth.. when you look in the bible slavery start with moses in the time of Egypt. The land in which black people come from and still is their land according to the bible is? :- Jerusalem Bible Galatians 4 - 26 Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all That what it saying in the bible Till this day we see that Jerusalem is occupied by Jewish and Muslim BUT according to the bible it's the land of the jews.. Jews not Jewish... According to the black jews are black people... the same people from the time of slavery in Egypt and America plus around the world... example:- deuteronomy chapter 28 - 48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.”........so as you can see black history is in the bible .. if you just read it for yourself you will see the truth.. It also describes GOD,, Angel's . And the jews they are all black people in the bible.. aswell as JESUS look for yourself I did GOD describe according to bible Daniel 7 - 9 “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.” Let look at it,, the ancient of days meaning GOD himself He hair like wool. Just like jesus, it's the same, only black people have wool texture hair.... And also Solomon description, “I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.” Comely meaning beautiful, handsome There are so many more descriptions throughout the bible describing black people These are just some of them...

Each person on earth each soul has its own indiviuality i dont get why people talk upon other people as if everyone isnt different. Talk for yourself not others as you have no right same way no one can talk for you as in most blacks go for lightys etc dont forget everyone is a sole individual regardles of skin colour etc just bcus someone is black white etc dont mean they are a certain way ppl forget the stereotyping and separting we are all one. everyone gets jugded at the end for their own actions. If someones doing wrong thats on them same way if someones doing good thats also a benefit for them in the long run. As a muslim i dont agree with people should stick with their “own” thats a ideology of seperating the people and blinding from the fact that we are all one bottom line it should be stick with who is righteous and stay away from people who are wrong doers and you can learn right from wrong in islam yes we all know right from wrong to a certain level eg you know murdering your own mother is wrong but its deeper then that islam shows the truth u cant just go by foundations that are fabricated by man then the whole world will be lost and blind one persons right might be wrong to someone else and its all decided by man which can only go so far as people can have incorrect norms and values, sometimes the light of islam passes people they are blind to see the truth when its blantetly infront of them going to people who have been exposed to islam and those who havent allah will deal with them accondingly as he knows best but if you have atleast check it out for ur own good. Focus on the ball not the player just bcus one muslim thinks people should stay with their own skin coloured brothers &sisters , dont think islam is that, trust me that is solely coming from jahhiliyah Just bcus ppl have diff cultures or born elsewher dont mean they are two diff species, we are all human end of. Educate urself with islam and find the truth for yourself.

JEDIONLINE If you think my comment and you acting like animal has anything to do with your race or skin color then you are wrong, unless you have very low self esteem and you look down on yourself for being black.

JEDIONLINE You made your point along time ago when you bought up White Supremacy but it went over a lot of peoples heads. Some people have limited information, due to lack of in depth research and critical thinking on how it has infiltrated their race, culture, and society( i.e. THEIR MIND, ON A SUBCONSCIOUS AND CONSCIENCE LEVEL). I see why you got passionate and a little frustrated lol.

Sometimes someone doesn’t want to go to different avenues to think about what someone said.. but talking about these ‘syndromes’ and all that doesn’t help anyone.. as soon as something gets a name it’s been given it for a reason and it won’t go away..

pretty impressive mr jedi...most down to earth man in this wee video. giving that 'beautiful' example at 1:14:33 of what the woman said, causes one to believe deep down you understand seeing things the way she does is not wrong but positive and beneficial. its good to see your becoming even more knowledgable. keep going brother!

I can’t lie, the thing they are talking about I see a few Moroccan, white, black, Asian, Latina girls do the same where they have this hatred for their own men due to a certain experience with one. Many of them seek validation from men of other races and get mad when some don’t want them.

It looked like some of the men were not comfortable having women in the discussion. I personally thought their contributions were on point , but they were drowned out most of the time, if it wasn’t for the guy with the covered face insisting the guys quieten down, we wouldn’t have had a chance to hear them at all. More time for women speakers , I say.

First of all I’m one of the sisters and I was vocal. To all the brothers and sisters saying we shouldn’t have got involved and shouldn’t have spoken to men. BYE. You are pathetic, we are allowed to speak and you can’t say anything that will push us down. We loved it there it was exciting and we learnt a lot allhamdulilah. How dare you lot say we bring shame. You’re disgusting. To even say such things.

Ymane M Ali you calling someone a fake hijabi is absolutely pathetic and disgusting. Us hijabis show the symbol of the uma. I go outside wearing it, I love it and have to constantly think about the potential of getting attacked. Yet you call me a fake hijabi? You really need to look at yourself and see how vile you are right now. InshaAllah you'll fix up and treat sisters with RESPECT.

I agree with Jedi on this point. Also I would add that its far too easy to go round labelling people. I see this far too often in sc. Which may or may not be completely true. Someone could even unintentionally make a raciest comment which doesn’t make them raciest. I think we need to be patient dig a bit deeper before going round labelling people. Give people the benefit of the doubt.

1 you can't call someone a racist without evidence. That is called slander. 2 everyone should love everyone but you can't legislate for people's feelings. It's better to spend our energy in building relationships so that people actually like each rather then trying to ban a feeling.

A good discussion topic : Is islam about groups/sects? Or is it about ALLAH سبحانه و تعالى ? That's why isa logic still stand, if you get married to a man/women you share their struggles and happiness. If you become a muslim your heart must be all about ALLAH سبحانه و تعالى not the sects, use the knowledge that these sects gained, avoid their mistakes. Thats how your mind should operate and how it should process info because he guide, not these sects. Sadly many people especially sunni since they are majority their hearts are directed to sect, sometimes even worst to their culture, some are even extreme and follow desire. Use sects only as a tool to get closer to him , they are not him!!!
