This video explains the process of covering your interior windows with insulating plastic to save energy, keep your house warmer, and stop drafts from the windows. I have newer windows (20 years old) and they allow me to adhere the plastic to the window housing and not the wooden trim - this allows me to continue to use the Venetian blinds that I have installed with no reduced functionality.
The process per window is about 10-15 minutes when first starting out - things move a bit faster after the first couple of windows.
Materials used:
Window insulation kit
Scissors
Sharp, pointed knife
Razorblade
Rubbing Alcohol
Hair Dryer/blow dryer
Window adhesive
Old Rag
