Well, Girl, 😴 I see that I commented twice beforfe in this class. It is almosty 5 years old. Today I was troubled by te what happens when you don't get enough sleep but knew that I was doing something wonderful and productive by practicing this class with you. I did finish this class and I enjoyed it however,I really was troubled by your decision to discuss all of the bad affects of not sleeping well. I am not sleeping well, I have a hip injury. I would really appreciate a message on how doing yoga increases our sense of well being and will help with improved sleep. For people who are all ready anxious hearing what could go wrong increases that feeling. Thank you very much for being so generous with your time and effort in providing yoga classes for the public. Thank you SO MUCH for another Absolutely Wonderful practice Melissa , i Absolutely LOVE You. And , yes yes yes i would Definitely LOVE more classes like this. I DO have a VERY broken heart , i have been through MANY MANY of traumas , and never had the time to process them. So I'm trying to do it on my own through my yoga practice. Oh, Ok, I thought this was a recent video....I see it is over 3 years old. I wanted to do yoga to drop into a quiet space and after your rendition of what awful things could happen to us if we don't get enough sleep I almost changed the channel...but I love doing yoga with you so I decided to let go of my agitation and enjoy the class. Thanks so much for providing these you tube yoga videos. Namaste this was written in March 2020....the campaign, the corona virus...all the uncertainty and my puppy is having anxiety and wants to be held almost all the time. Namaste'

😪 This class really relaxed me. For some reason, I find my two young cats love to snuggle against me and climb all over me as I'm doing your classes! They love your classes too! The takeaway I got from this video is to try and carve out rest time for sleep, unapologetically. I do struggle with that, but I also think setting boundaries with myself around sleep is healthy. Having my little cats pile on me always helps too.

Hi Melissa, thanks for this video. I found this hard to do - esp the poses in which we were on our belly and lifted our chest up - and holding some of the poses for long got uncomfortable - so I modified and did some poses I liked and remembered from your other videos instead of the ones in this. Later while posting this comment I noticed it says 'intermediate'! Lovely poem as usual.

I almost fell asleep during the class. LOL! Does it matters when I get my 8-9 hours of sleep? For example, I go to bed late around 4am, but I will sleep to 12 or 1pm ensuring I get 8-9 hours of sleep. I have no trouble sleeping. I'm really enjoying the yin classes. This is my first experience with them. Blessings!

I made it to the end Melissa but found this video hard. I have pretty rounded shoulders (probably from growing up as a tall teenager), so I always find lifting my arms above my head when lying down without my shoulders popping up difficult. I was getting pins and needles tonight e.g. in banana pose, and generally felt like I couldn't get in to the poses. Do I need to just keep trying these poses to sort out my terrible shoulders? Any tips about how to make them more bearable, like maybe lying on cushions when on my belly so it's less flat? ❤️😴 Namaste

Thanks for the great session. One question regarding banana pose is it for heart meridian or gallblader meridian ?

It definitely affects the gallbladder meridian which runs along the side of the body, however it also affects the heart meridian which runs from the pinky along the inside of your arms to your heart. I love Sarah Power´s book, Insight Yoga which maps out all the meridians in a clear and easy to follow way. Perhaps that would be useful for you as well. amzn.to/2C78npt Namaste, Melissa

Ok, I was going to do this yoga class but frightening the bee gees out of people experiencing insomnia , certainly isn't helpful. So I am looking for another channel. That's like telling a person who has anxiety the harm that can come from feeling anxiety. Namaste'
