Exactly what I noticed right away. What is the reasoning behind Jay Cutler’s lack of amplitude? He is a Mr Olympia so he got to know what he is doing. 🤔
@seedymcfly5013
11 ай бұрын
@@mozbius it seems as though partial reps with heavy weight does indeed build muscle, as does dropping the weight and doing full range of motion. The issue though is longevity. You can’t lift the way Jay does in this video longterm, or you’re going to completely destroy your joints. Lee’s form of training is likely going to allow you to train well into your later years of life.

If your questioning Jay’s partials here; dumbbell chest press and especially the flys have different points thoughout the movement where there is an uneven distribution of the load and Jay is putting constant tension on the specific part of the pec he wants to grow while minimizing delt and triceps. He’s isolating.

Everybody here says partial reps. Nope. It's muscle under tension. The "range" is specific to THAT EXERCISE for as you go lower - you put more pressure on shoulders and lats and as you go full lock in - its all arms. Ronnie did this too and it was ONE OF THE SETS, not all sets. He does it all sorts of ways. 4 times mr O, right?
