I know this doesn’t mean much in reality, but you’re really one of those youtubers to whom the “you deserve more subscribers” statement belongs.

It must have been really difficult to put in words emotions and feelings but you absolutely did a great work! Interpretation is one of the main aspects of playing the piano (if not the most important) but nonetheless only a few people here on KZitem focus on it. Thank you for sharing your experience, you are such a positive inspiration!

Thank you!! Ngl it was really hard to put into words! I usually never have to say this stuff out loud lol. But I'd love to do more kinds of videos like this. Interpretation is the best part!

Thank you for your perspective on ncoturne interpretation and interpreting in general. When I learned nocturne op 9 no 2, i realized this was a popular piece for beginner/advanced pianists. I had to figure out a way to make my own interpretation to make my playing stick out. To be honest my interpretation process is literally just playing a piece over and over again, and during this repetitive process, I find little things I could include in my playing to make the ncoturne my own. Even though I learned this piece almost a YEAR ago, I am still continuing my interpretation on this piece but it's going pretty good. 👍

Happy to share! I wish more people shared their interpretation process. Cool to see you’re still continuing your interpretation of this piece. I find when I revisit pieces my interpretation often changes. It’s a fluid process.

Chopin's Nocturnes are my favorite solo piano works. So far I can play Op. 9 No. 1 and 2 , and the Posthumous in C# Minor. Op. 9 No. 3 I'm currently working on as well, and it's actually the most unique Nocturne. If you want some great analyses and interpretations of Chopin's music, check out Grzegorz Niemczuk on KZitem.

Hey man - I’m 19 and taking the piano journey a bit late as well like you are. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts process on your interpretation. I have a long term goal of playing the all the Chopin Nocturnes and currently have learned op.9/1 op.15/3 op.32/2 op.37/1 op.55/1. We have a lot of similar thoughts on the meaning of the Nocturnes. Good luck to us on our journey 😂!

I’m glad you enjoyed it! That’s a great goal. I’m making my way through the Nocturnes too but not sure if I’ll get to all of them. There’s so much music I want to play! Good luck friend!
