After a few periods of great scientific progress in several parts of the world, we finally arrive at the Middle Ages. It was quite a bummer to be alive during this time, and one of the main reasons for this was the persistent plagues that ravaged the world, killing enormous percentages of the human population. At that time, we didn't know anything about pathogens, so we had no idea what was happening to us. But we are never satisfied with not knowing, so how precisely did we interpret the plagues of the time? Let's get a closer look now.
