Thomas Lecuit est directeur de recherche au CNRS, professeur au Collège de France, titulaire de la chaire Dynamiques du vivant. Il dirige une équipe de recherche à l’Institut de Biologie du Développement de Marseille (IBDM - Aix-Marseille université, CNRS), et le Centre Turing des Systèmes Vivants, un centre interdisciplinaire consacré à l’étude du vivant. Thomas Lecuit, membre de l'Académie des sciences élu en 2014, est l'un des lauréat de la Médaille d'argent du CNRS 2015. Il porte le projet "Self-Control - Biomécanique des cellules et tissus épithéliaux" lauréat de l’appel à projet Institut Convergences soutenu par le Programme d’Investissement d’Avenir cofinancé par l’ANR et la fondation A*MIDEX.
Il a donné une conférence au Cirm dans le cadre de l'école de recherche "Modèles mathématiques et organisation de la matière vivante" (28 mars-1er avril 2022), dont le Comité scientifique était composé par Florence Hubert (Aix-Marseille Université), Pierre-Emmanuel Jabin (Pennsylvania State University) et Anna Marciniak-Czochra (University of Heidelberg), organisée par Luis Almeida (CNRS - Sorbonne Université), Vincent Calvez (CNRS - Université Lyon 1), Marie Doumic (INRIA Paris), Benoît Perthame (Sorbonne Université) et Patricia Reynaud-Bouret (CNRS - Université Côte d'Azur).

Thomas Lecuit is Director of Research at CNRS, Professor at 'Collège de France', and holder of the 'Dynamiques du vivant' Chair. He leads a research team at the Institute of Developmental Biology of Marseille (IBDM - Aix-Marseille University, CNRS), and the Turing Center for Living Systems, an interdisciplinary center dedicated to the study of living things. Thomas Lecuit, member of the French Academy of Sciences elected in 2014, is one of the recipients of the 2015 CNRS Silver Medal. He leads the project "Self-Control - Biomechanics of epithelial cells and tissues" winner of the Institut Convergences call for projects supported by the Programme d'Investissement d'Avenir co-financed by the ANR and the A*MIDEX foundation.
