Oh my word, when he say's "it was actually the knife that was trapping me, not the boulder, I could actually use the boulder to get free." that is just SO mind blowing, how he turned a negative into a positive in a way.

idk if it's just me, but knowing what he had to do back in 2003 makes him so much more attractive. honestly, I think he's hot. what he went through was obviously a terrible experience and what he did was so brave and courageous. He's an amazing man on the inside... and it just makes him so hot on the outside as well!! Ahh, he's such an inspiration.

Cried at the part where he tells about his actual experience and describes it as euphoric. During the movie I was so engaged with the character that I felt the boulder was the enemy. What a unique person Aron must be able to view the boulder as a good thing, something to help him achieve his goal of freedom. What a rare, positive perspective.

I once got hopped up on speed right before an exam & tried to break my own hand to get out of the test. Dropped the machine weights on it, smashed a door on it, smashed it with barbels... dropped atleast 60lbs on it... I was trying to figure out how I could get a car to run over it without needing to tell someone else... But I just bruised it up real good - didn't break any bones. I hope he learnt something from his experience. I didn't learn from mine so I failed out the semester after

If I had extreme pain in my arm for a half hour, having to stand for six days, no sleep for six days, no food for five, no water for three, and then had to break two of my bones in my arm, cut it off, travel deeper into Blue John and at the end, one-armed, jump down a six floor drop (with the ropes and stuff, of course), and then finally have help, I'd be... I don't think I could ever understand what he went through. I think I'd regret not telling anyone where I went, but, just glad to be alive.

That is crazy. The fact that he had been standing there for days, stabbing at his arm and sawing in it before realising the bone thing... i mean. THE PAIN! Just being stuck by the boulder must've hurt like fucking crazy. And then stabbing, then sawing, and finally torque-movement to break the bone, and THEN cutting through the entire thing after the bones were broken. The amount of pain is insane! O.o
