In this episode of our Member Stories series we interview entrepreneur Daniel Bittner.
The Swiss entrepreneur, recounts his extensive career in finance and business development. He began his journey in 2003 by leaving Goldman Sachs to start an alternative asset management firm in Germany and Switzerland with former JP Morgan colleagues.
Initially focusing on private equity and real estate, he later managed a global macro fund. After the 2008 financial crisis, he shifted towards hard assets, particularly real estate development in Brazil and mining investments. In 2016, he moved to Spain, specifically Marbella, continuing his ventures in real estate and commodities.
In Marbella, Daniel found a thriving and evolving business community, particularly post-COVID. He emphasizes the importance of understanding tax implications and maintaining connectivity for entrepreneurs considering a move.
He praises Marbella for its conducive environment for families, good infrastructure, and international schools.
