Good for you keep listening to the good stuff. I used to listen to the solid country gold when I was your age too while all of my less sophisticated friends threw themselves before swine.

Oh my gosh I’ve been listening to him since 1970. He is one of the very best, ever, hands down. He’s pretty special!

My brother was his bass player for many years. Not sure if he was still with him in 2019 but I don't think he was. My brother's name is Johnny Beck. He passed away on July 31, 2020. I'm not sure when my brother joined the band but it was in the 70's. Bush heard him at the Silver Stallion (?) club while he was playing with Mo Bandy before he made it big. He became the head Bandelero. I was so proud of him. He was 6 years older than me. I miss Bush and my brother so much. So glad I found this interview. Bush called me Little Sister.

I dedicated my bio of George Strait to Johnny Bush. Right before his death, I talked to him here in Wimberley, Texas.
