Armand saying he was as much a captive is crazy. This man slept the whole coven at that dinner party with ease and paused time at the same time and Louis believed Armand was captive too? Why are we conveniently forgetting ep 5? Where they confirm that Armand has been influencing and editing Louis' memories and mind for who knows how long. Where it's confirmed that he's literally implanted entire lines, in Louis, like a ventriloquist moving the mouth of his doll... Why is that just being disregarded? Louis doesn't believe him, and he's not dumb, and that's the core of the reason as to why Loumand isn't working, and never did. Because Louis isn't in fact dumb, he does know there's something going on, he does know there's a lie being told (confirmed by Jacob) and he doesn't trust Armand or believe him, or forgive him. That's the whole point. It's why, when Louis said that Daniel looked at him the way he did, and it's why the camera panned to Armand looking like he'd just been caught doing something. And Daniel says "unwelcomed clarity" to Louis, but while looking at Armand. Louis isn't being dumb, YOU are just falling for Armands manipulation 🤷🏽♀

@@Cool_beansmh I had to go back and re-read my own comment, just to see what you were talking about. But there's literally nowhere in my comment that I say, or even imply that Louis is "innocent". That word itself is decided by the viewer, meaning what you think is "innocent" is not what I or someone else may think is innocent. But regardless, it has no business even being considered within the realm of a show like this, or with these characters. I mean what is considered innocent, in reference or regard to serial killing monsters. See, doesn't make any sense. So saying Louis is my "favorite" because I'm painting him to be completely innocent, doesn't make any sense either, under any regard. He's not innocent, he wasn't innocent even as a human, not a single part of my comment claimed or made a claim or point to that... And why I love Louis, as a character never had anything to do with innocence, or anything like that. You don't know me, you don't know what this character means to me, and you have no idea how I view this character. Don't assume, all it does is make an ass of you. Now moving on, there's numerous times he's made bad decisions, made mistakes, made the wrong choice. He has numerous faults and problems, he's not even close to "perfect" or "good" or any other type of word that essentially means the same thing. He's unpredictable, unhinged, unstable, damaged, broken, very flawed and the list goes on and on. And he's no different in that regard than any other Vampire character in this world; book series & show. Love, makes them ALL act stupid and do stupid things. All of them, Louis is not unique or special, in that regard. The disagreement was not that love doesn't make Louis "dumb" (is the word you previously used, not stupid), it's that in this circumstance SPECIFICALLY. He is not being "dumb" or stupid. You categorizing him and the situation in such simple and shallow terms, only shows your own failure in understanding what's being presented. His failure in believing Claudia, while also more nuanced than just him being "dumb" because of love, is a different circumstance entirely to what I was responding to and regarding. He had his reasons not to believe her, does that change that he failed her there, not even a little. But it still is what it is. The fact of the matter though, is that that singular instance has no bearing on ep 5 or what's happening between him and Armand, in Dubai. It has no baring on what Armand has been and is still doing to him... If you wanted to just pluck some random moment from the series, there are many others that actually do have relevance. That just wasn't one.

She came to hate them both for making her, and decided to do anything she could to ruin them. She became determined to split up their relationship. Lestat was right. She was a skilled predator. It was directly written in her journals. And for this incident, Claudia had no reason to lie. Stop insisting that everything is just Louis point of view and that Lestat's point of view is the unequivocal truth. Its clearly not. Because Armand was so wounded, he has fear of being abandoned, he has no problem murdering the competition. Armand and Claudia have that in common. Lestat is a murderous monster, no doubt, they all are. Armand, Lestat and Marius are all my favorite, complex characters in Anne Rice’s universe. They are all are self centered beings, including Claudia. This is detailed further in in the novels when her diaries are read further on. She despised Louis and took advantage of him to get her to Europe, all while making him feel as if she loved him. What they will do I’m the series? Who knows. And yes it is a point of view of Louis’s. The next season will no doubt be Lestat’s pov. Louis did admit what Lestat said on stage is true. Oh BTW Daniel will be turned by Armand or possibly Lestat, as I think Daniel already unknowingly met Lestat In Raglan James body. Daniel goes nuts and Armand then deposits Daniel with Marius, so he can help Daniel come to terms with his immortality. I love Armand’s character as well as Lestat’s. That is already one part of the testimony that doesn't ring true. You are not meant to take Lestat's word for everything that happened during the trial. Armand and Daniel discuss how the trial basically was twisted retelling of events with a clear bias. But for the turning of Claudia, Louis concludes that his own guilty regarding it may have altered his interpretation of events so he should take Lestat's word. He's def still lying!! I do believe Lestat's version of how Claudia was made bc if you go back and watch (I did), you'll hear their voices fading in and out at the introduction to Claudia's voice. But I still insist that Louis was not aware of the magnitude of breaking laws he really was just being told about. That play that Sam and Santiago wrote was so racist! From the way Louis was portrayed as this violent thug who engaged in street brawls, who hunted and pursued this very anglo (literally golden) man. To them downright butchering their heels the same way they used to do to runaway slaves...ugh. They took away their rights to speak or defend themselves...though Claudia was a badass and still fought to the end. It was hilarious to see Santiago's responses to Lestat going off script. For Claudia to have the same people who cheered for her as Lu Lu now yell and call for her death must have been humiliating. "Not the painting!" Fun fact: the painting that Louis smashes his bowl of blood against is Rembrandt's "Storm on the Sea of Galilee" which, in real life, was among several pieces of art stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston in the 90s. The case is still unsolved and the stolen works are still missing. And if I recall correctly, that theft remains the highest value art heist in history-- in part because "Storm on the Sea of Galilee" was Rembrandt's only seascape. The word "priceless" gets thrown around a lot when it comes to art, but with this particular piece it's no hyperbole. I LOVE the lore-building implied by Louis and Armand having a famously stolen artwork hanging on their wall-- and how, in his anguish and rage in remembering all of this trauma, Louis doesn't give a single damn about preserving this artwork. As priceless as the painting may be-- to Louis, it's worth nothing compared to Claudia's memory, the outrage he feels remembering the injustice of the trial/stoning/lynching, or his sense of survivor's guilt.

Your observations are good but the fact that we can't trust Claudia or Louis' account doesn't automatically mean that Lestat's version is the truth. He's literally in the middle of a play reciting the story in a way that's meant to make him look like the victim. So he's not exactly reliable either. I think the point is that there are bits of truth in all their versions, but we don't know exactly what happened. The only things that can be confirmed are the parts that they all remembered.

I would like to point out that it sounds ridiculous that Claudia would hear some of the lines said by Louis but not the lines that he was clearly yelling loud enough for a vampire to hear about him giving Lestat's head to a lion. If you don't see how that was clearly planted in the story to take the blame off of Lestat for his brutality afterwards...its quite obvious. Its outlandish. Its garish. And it doesn't seem like Louis at all. It was clearly planted and I feel the writers of the show made that very obvious. Lestat snapped at Louis whether he said anything or not. And he beat him horribly and then dragged him by his mandible into a courtyard, as told via Claudia's journals, and BROKE Louis into pieces like a selfish child. It's insane to see people just take his word for it.
@tinymxnticore

@@fizzychizzy You make a good point about Claudia not hearing Louis’s taunts. I thought that scene was more or less reliable because it seemed like they were deliberately not showing things from Lestat’s testimony that were outright lies, while the scene retelling how Claudia was turned is at least claimed by Louis in Dubai to be how it really happened. So I believed watching the episode that Louis did say those things…and I didn’t feel it made Lestat any less to blame. Lestat started choking their daughter and then beat Louis for intervening. Louis could have said and done worse and I wouldn’t think he was wrong after what he did to both of them. I feel that the point of the episode was that Louis could have been perfect and the audience would have still condemned him. Because it wasn’t a trial, it was a lynching. Our memories are unreliable, which is something abusive people take advantage of even without vampiric powers, and I like that Louis isn’t always a perfect protagonist or reliable narrator. But anyone using this one instance of him actually standing up to his abuser to invalidate him as a victim or paint him as the aggressor are as evil as the Vampire coven (and will be dealt with accordingly 😈🔥)

But we'll see how it plays out... I do have to disagree with the 'Louis knew the truth' part. Because he only knew a part of it, which is that Armand could've stopped the coven, could've saved her, but didn't. He didn't know just how much of a role Armand played in it, he didn't know anything about Lestats part in it, didn't know what Armand really did to Claudia the actual 'why' behind her death. He doesn't find out all the extra stuff, till he reads TVL, and no one knows what Armand really did, till TVA. The amazing and frustrating problem about this series is that it plays a lot with memories and perspective. In season 1, we see Daniel question Louis' memories a few times whether he was with another man in the rain or at the end of the last episode. His memory is not fully reliable, so many of the scenes with Louis and Lestat are probably both true just from bits and pieces with their perspectives added in. Claudia openly said she started writing differently because of the fact they read the diaries. We have yet to hear Lestat's recount directly from his mouth and Louis has been mentally manipulated for most of the time that we have seen him. Armand has been lying a lot anyway, so we literally have no fully true story.

Hey ladies, I just wanted to give you some information. It'll be good to know for Season 3 😊 Marius born 30 BC in Basilia Rome by The God of the Grove: alive. He is 2000 yrs old today. Made Armand in 1497, he is 514 yrs old today. Magnus born 1480 by Benedict who was made vampire in 1095: Magnus died at 300 yrs. Benedict: alive Magnus made Lestat in 1779, against his will. Lestat made Louis in 1791 and Claudia is 1794.

A lot of people watching the show assumed that when Armand told Louis that the Rome coven set fire to his maker in the museum scene, that meant his maker had died. Having read the books up to The Vampire Armand, I knew that according to the books, he was still alive. For some reason, I can't remember reading about Magnus' maker Benedict. I wasn't aware that he was still alive.

@cullenarthur8879 I found this on the Vampire Chronicles WIKI: Benedict was a Christian monk of the seventh or eighth century in France, brought into the Blood by Rhoshamandes around the year A.D. 800. Benedict is the vampire from whom the alchemist Magnus stole the Blood, a theft described in The Vampire Lestat. Appears in Prince Lestat and Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis as Rhoshamandes’s companion and lover."

First of all, Armand is over 500 years old. He is so powerful, why the hell could he not put everyone to sleep, take them out of there? Or at least set vamps on fire??? Sam was blocking him, give me a break. That suit on Lestat, Jesus, he's never looked better & that profile, pretty hot & I'm a lesbian lol No one can script Lestat, he's always going off script. Santiago was pleased when he finally did. A story of love not butchery. Finally, the first look. So Lestat's version is the right one? As far as Claudia's transformation. Holy crap! Armand just sitting there, watching. He was the oldest most powerful vampire there, wtf??? It pissed me off. One of my favorite moments, Lestat moving so fast to the balcony & snarling at that homophobe. Sam Reid's performance was everything, pure brilliance. "I was not worthy of the forgiveness you would grant me." Broke my heart. I would highly recommend reading the books. They are amazing!

This episode was BRUTAL and I loved your raw reactions! Please excuse my long post in advance. I initially was so upset with Lestat for not trying to save them! However, after another watch I realized something is off with Lestat and again, I’m questioning if we should take what what we were shown at face value. For the most part, Lestat stays on script going off script mostly when moved by genuine moments. However, there are some small hints of him going in and out of consciousness and having a dazed expression. The most obvious moment is when they are about to execute Claudia and Madeleine just after Santiago says “what time is it? way past our bedtime”, Lestat is standing in the background swaying looking hypnotized or dazed. I wonder if he was also getting disarmed by the coven like we saw done to Louis and Claudia? Also, Santiago put Madeleine in a trance, but not Claudia or Louis. We aren’t told why he did this or what he told her. There is a theory going around on social media that Santiago put Madeleine in a trance so Lestat couldn't communicate with her telepathically or so she couldn’t read his mind and relay information telepathically from Lestat to and from Claudia. And do they really expect us to believe coven master Armand couldn't take on that whole coven if he wanted to? And they stuck the vampire Sam on him? We saw him put everyone to sleep by slamming his fist on a table. We’ve seen him stop time entirely on multiple occasions. We have also seen him erase and manipulate memories as well as mentally mind handle Lestat in the past back in episode 3..Daniel isn’t buying it so that's a hint to me something is amiss. There is also a big discrepancy with Sam, the vampire “guarding” Armand. After Louis lets Armand take over the story because Louis doesn't know what happened after he is dragged off to the vault, we see the vampire Sam is assisting the other vampires with pouring the rocks over Louis in the coffin. Then when we cut back to Armand watching Claudia and Madeleine on stage, Sam is shown there guarding him. He is in two places at once. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will get a clearer picture of what happened at this trial until there is more time, so likely in season 3, but unfortunately it will not bring back our beloved ladies :(.

A 2km drop is just over a mile above the city. Not enough to kill à vampire, but enough to several injure one. Also FYI: In the book, Lestat was still recovering from his wounds that night of his "murder"(mostly at the hands of Claudia). He was poisoned and set ablaze. He was physically and psychologically injured. He was terrified of everything. So, when the coven reached out to Roget and Associates to communicate with Lestat, they discovered how poorly he was doing. He got better by the time he was brought to Paris. I am wondering if this will be covered in the season finale because the next story in the series of books is "The Vampire Lestat." He is a rockstar with a band of human fans/groupies.

This can't be Lestat's revenge, I'm sorry. We know him as self-centered and performative, so he returns to the stage of the theater HE founded to appear miserable all the time and, most importantly, give an audience of MORTALS the power to decide the sentence? Lestat would NEVER!!!! He would give a revenge like that to an enemy he despised, not one he loved like Louis and Claudia, he couldn't look at their faces! And the look on his face watching Claudia die? He himself said that whatever sentence they got would be his too because he was the one who transformed Claudia... I think we're going to find out a lot more about this trial. I've been wondering if Lestat felt like Claudia was going to live a torturous life any way, so he felt like was better for her to be convicted. It was vengance but it was also a fact that she would keep suffering no matter what. And he never turned away from her in her last moments, he demanded that she get her last words, he looked at her the entire time, witnessing her exit from that life, just like her advocated for her to not be turned in to a vampire and witnessed her birth into the vampire life. The person she hated the most, her greatest enemy, advocated for her dignity before she was turned, when she was becoming an adult, and for her last words. That's not enough to ever absolve him - but turning her wasn't enough for Louis' redemption either.

I could be wrong, but I have to rewatch the episode again, but I feel like Armand used Louis to get rid of the coven. He used Lestat for the same thing before, so I feel like he allowed Claudia to be killed because he knows Louis will want revenge and it will free him from being used by the coven if he succeeds. Armand definitely had the power to save them, but as we have seen before, he's a coward, and 10 times worst than Lestat in my opinion 😂 What's messed up is Lestat lies, but he really be telling the truth most of the time. He told them the vampires were brutal, but Claudia's hatred for him really put them in this position. And Louis is not as innocent as he claims to be. I had a feeling some things didnt go the way they showed in season one because Lestat is obviously stronger than Louis. He could have really destroyed him in that fight if he wanted to. He just wanted him to hurt like he made him hurt. Louis' behavior with Armand was really scary. I know he lost Claudia, but I dont feel like thats any excuse considering he always put her second and she knew it. He didn’t even believe Claudia when she told him that Armand threatened her. He was a horrible father to her.

I like how Claudia says to Madeline it's not a trial, it's a stoning, because women get stoned in other countries for things like adultery, men use that as a punishment against women who do things that men may do but they don't get punished for it. The whole trial is hypocritical. Lestat never taught her the vampire rules. She was made as a child without asking for it. Armand as we see in this episode controls their minds to say banishment, but could not do the same for Claudia. Come on. . . he's 500 years old ancient vampire, made by Marius who guards those who must be kept, the king and queen of vampires. Armand is controlling the whole narrative at the moment. At this point, I am hoping Lestat shows up to the Dubai apartment next week to start telling Daniel his side of the story. . .

I agree Lestat should have let them go but lets be honest, if he had Claudia would have been dead within months of her arrival. He told her the coven was vicious, he told Louis and he just conveniently edited that part from his memory. He could have explained to Claudia in anyway he wanted how dangerous going to Europe was but he let her fixate on it, in essence he groomed her hate for Lestat. Lestat respected Louis enough and knew that Claudia would likely not even believe him if he told her how she was made and why it was wrong. But thats where he made a mistake, he would have told her Louis be damned and allowed her to make her choice to leave and then experience exactly what she did now. Because it would have been no different. Armand is the biggest traitor I've ever seen, i love him but i can't lie. He wants Louis to himself without the burden of Claudia.

On a scale of 1 - 10, my devastation level is 72. And I knew what was coming which is a testament to the talent involved with this show. Now can we all admit that Lestat, Armand, and Louis are raggedy af? Lol. He crawled out of the dirt and sailed across the ocean to see them dead. The only truthful thing Lestat said was, “Now it’s their turn to hurt.” They’ve made a big deal about Louis being an unreliable narrator, but Lestat is worse because we’ve seen him lie to Louis and Claudia, though Claudia peeped him the entire time. The only narrative I’m willing to trust Claudia’s account of events because unlike everyone else, Claudia was writing everything down in real time.

Can we stop going with the racist stereotype, for Louis 🙏🏽 He was an OBLIGATORY pimp, because it was the only line of work that allowed him to keep his families home, and support them all. Literally 3 generations of his family, he had to support, financially. And like he made clear, it's literally the only option allotted him, to make real money, due to his race, at the time. And he stopped being that, before Claudia was turned, and hasn't been that since. So why people feel the need to just brand him with that, doesn't make any sense. By the time he gets to Paris he hasn't been a "pimp" for over 30yrs. And his compacity for violence has always been shown as reactionary. He's not violent of aggressive, just to be violent or aggressive. Time and time again we've seen him pushed into violence. He fights back, he doesn't just stay down. Becoming a Vampire hasn't changed that part of his character, it's just made him more unhinged in the level of violence he's capable of, because it surpasses a human level, because he's not human. He's not any more "violent" than any other Vampire character in the show.

@@RowensARTstudio I agree. Louis played the roles expected of him by his family, his business associates, and society, but they're all different masks. They're not who Louis truly is, and because he can't decide and accept himself he makes mistakes and people in his life get hurt. Even with Armand, Louis is playing a role and it's all to keep himself safe and hide from true intimacy and acceptance. He keeps everything suppressed deep down until someone lights the fuse and all of those emotions explode into rage. In the fight scene with Lestat, while I don't condone anything Lestat did (since he has so much more power and knows that), I think Louis was trying to draw Lestat's wrath and he knew exactly what to say to get him truly angry. First to draw his attention away from Claudia, then to kind of get back at him for old slights, and then... I don't know. It seems that Louis wants to be punished all the time because he can't accept himself. He's a genuinely tragic character, and so beautifully written and performed (Jacob Anderson is a revelation!), but I can imagine that would get old very quickly for other vampires if they had to deal with it for eternity. 😅
@RowensARTstudio
Ай бұрын
@@psychedelicpegasus7587 That was said so beautifully, and I agree with nearly everything. The only part I think is more nuanced, is the role he's playing within his relationship with Armand. Because that is not (just) Louis putting on another mask or hat, to keep himself safe and hide from true intimacy and acceptance. I'm not saying that's not apart of it, but there's also the part of it that is a mask/hat that was handed to him by Armand. Armand himself is also requiring him to play this "role", that simply does not fit Louis. The Mairtre/Arun thing is something that Armand "needs" and it's what he demands of Louis, without words. But it doesn't fit him. It's one of the many reasons why they're incompatible as companions. They can't meet eachtohers needs, and because of that neither one of them are getting their needs met, and they're both bending themselves so out of shape, just trying to fit... But back to what you said, I agree. Especially that last part, about Louis... that a really big part of the core of Louis, that so many people don't really understand. He was raised Catholic, it's that catholic guilt. Desire is a sit, pleasure is a sin, satisfaction and indulgence is a sin. You are meant to live in penance just to be alive, you're meant to repent, etc. Then throw into the mix that he was "damned" by becoming a Vampire, damned by Lestat, but he made the choice. Within him, he believes everything is his fault, everything is his failure, so to him he will ALWAYS "deserve" it, because he will always be repenting for his perceived sins. Not only did he pick the apple from the tree, and take a bite, it was offered to him by the devil himself, and he CHOSE to take that bite... And the thing about that is that it's so human, he thinks being a Vampire is inherently bad, inherently evil, because he's so human. And it's that part of it that other Vampires reject, it's that part that they quickly grow tired of, that they grow resentful and annoyed by. Louis' humanity. His human nature, his human morality, his human heart is at complete and constant odds with the Vampire. And just by being who and what he is, he makes other Vampires appear, and feel even more the monster in comparison. And the way he desperately clings to it, is a direct rejection of the Vampire, therefore a rejection of them. I could keep going, but I honestly just wanted to say I love your comment 🙌🏽

@@RowensARTstudio Awww, thank you! I agree with you again and I think I didn't fully express myself when I mentioned the Louis/Armand dynamic. I think the moment on the bench when he let Dreamstat fade away and turned to Armand, I think he recognised the mask or performance Armand would respond to and he put that on like an old, beat up jacket. It's toxic behaviour, but it's a familiar place to hide from the rawness of honest vulnerability and Armand responds to it so readily. When he did that and slipped into a drawl I felt really sad for Louis. I'm from Ireland, and although my parents weren't particularly religious, my primary and secondary schools were Catholic institutions and I didn't really get a choice about taking part until I was maybe 16 or 17. Because of this I get Louis' ever present guilt and default to beating himself up. Even though I wasn't forced to follow the church's teachings at home, societally the Catholic school system did a lot of damage that I've spent years unlearning. When I reread IWTV or rewatch the show sometimes my heart goes out to him like, "Sweet beautiful Louis. You've been through so much", but sometimes I think back on it and go, "who is all this self flagellation for?". I'm queer so the religious thing also factored into how I accepted myself and I think this is another facet to Louis' feelings of guilt. Fortunately I found a fantastic community in university and have good people around me. I think the tragedy for vampires is that they will always stay the same unless they have some connection to the human world and the passage of time, but they can't be known by humans without making them vampires (except in very rare cases), so it's very difficult for them to change and grow beyond who they were as mortals. It's why I love Anne Rice's works because it makes me think so many different things about humanity and what it means to be human.

I'm all in for Lestat! Aside from Claudia, he has been the most truthful! Here are some points to consider 1. What we know about Lestat from S1 and S2 is from the POV of; * Claudia's-narrative of Lestat was biased, seemingly because they were so much alike. And because she was fed untruths about her making from Louis. *Louis-who doesn't know the truth if it gobsmacked him in the head. Between his self-favorable, victim narrative and Armand's scrambling of his thoughts if he wanted to tell the truth, he prop couldn't find it. *Germlin=Armand-is a manipulative, lying, albeit gorgeous puppet master. The thought that a 500 yr old Vampire with ancient blood could be held captive by simpleton Sam, much less the rest of the Coven, is laughable. 2. Lestat was in a weakened state and likely being puppeteered by the Coven, but orchestrated by the germline Armand-in the book is something very similar- *Lestat was off script, sitting awardably, dazed even. He was trying to fight the mind control but was probably too weak about the emotional apology to Louis, which likely weakened him more. *This is most evident when he watched Claudia-he was noticeably wobbling, more than likely his attempt to save her, but he couldn't move. 3.Call back to Season 1, Episode 3, after Louis kicks in the door of his family home. His mother says, "There he goes, there he goes!" His mother knew his character-even before he was a Vampire. She knew her son and how horrendous he could be at times. Black mothers know their sons. Predictions: That little unhappy, fake, immortal marriage Armand has locked Louis into is ending next episode. Now that Louis is remembering, he will gather that Armand didn't just scramble his mind in San Diego in the 70s, but also in Paris in the 40s. Louis has an unmanageable depth of anger and breadth of self-loathing. Not recalling incidents as a result of manipulation is just another reason for him to explode. This little fake marriage is OVER, and the Dubai apartment-which is doubling as a jail cell, along with Real Rashid and Daniel, will all be causalities of Louis's manic behavior like the Vampires have in Paris.

Remember, they show, even in the first season that LOUIS IS NOT A RELIABLE NARATOR.

If you guys still haven't noticed/found out, Lestat was actually being mind-controlled by, most likely, Armand. In one of the final scenes, most people were distracted by Claudia and Madeleine that they didn't see Lestat was off to the side wobbling, looking into space, as if he wasn't there completely. Armand is also the only vampire in that room that was stronger than Lestat in the moment to control him. Keep in mind, Lestat was still weak from his "death", so it was easier to control him. Armand saying he used all his strength to save Louis was sort of true since he was also using his strength to control Lestat. It's clear by now that Armand has warped/taken away some memories from Louis, so it wouldn't be surprising to find out he was doing it. Even if it wasn't Armand, it's been confirmed that Lestat was being controlled, so it explains why he was acting off the whole play in the "trial". Lestat would never have let that happen, especially let Louis die, so it wasn't surprising when he looked horrified when Claudia was burning. He couldn't prevent anything. I don't want to spoil anything big, because if they go by the books, then it's gonna be a big surprise. In Lestat's defense, at least in Claudia's death, he physically couldn't do anything to stop them. Now that IWTV has been renewed for S3, it's going to follow Lestat's POV, so we'll finally be able to meet the real him, since Louis, Armand and Claudia's diary were unreliable and biased narrators. It's funny how Lestat has been in almost every episode since S1 and 2 but we've actually never met him at all. Just from other perspectives.
