I see a lot of people referencing Bull being relieved of duty. Read the available facts and context. His junior marine , Sgt Gamez was UA due to being arrested in Georgia. Gamez claims he contacted command stating the reason his UA, but per 3rd Marines , he did not make proper notification; therefore prompting Bull to enter his residence to conduct a wellness check. Any good leader would do the same immediately. Working in law enforcement, his actions are and were entirely legal given the circumstances. This is an important citation of my civilian career because this happened at an off base residence and I understand application of local , state , and federal law. Gamez posted footage of Bull entering his residence to social media and tagged Military and news media entities, citing trespassing which in fact was untrue , given the circumstances. Had it remained a private issue , there would have been no recourse for Bull. Gamez made a big deal out of nothing to detract away from being arrested . Gamez should be ashamed and so should the Corps. This is simply a case of a leader being railroaded because the organization as a whole was embarrassed that its dirty laundry was being aired out.

This is one of the reasons why Leadership will now choose someone the recruit/enlisted man trusts to do domestic wellness checks. They won't flip at their bosses for showing up, but when I knocked at my suicidal buddy's house on a tuesday at 10h30, he was wide eyed at seeing me out of combats, standing at his poarch. He goes Wtf are you doing here man And I go "CoC asled me to come check up on you, they know we're close and frankly they didn't have to. The second they said your name and "hes not well" in the same sentence, I went up to em, said I'll go over there myself and make sure you're good and they said Please do. So went back home, got changed, and drove to you." He couldnt believe it. "Jeez Im fine whats their fckn problem" I told him to forget chain of command they dont fucking mattwr right now what matters is you know that ME, and a lot of other people actually fckn LOVE u bro. And I aint leaving this house until you look at me in my eyes and swear I'll see you at work tomorrow, and I'll see you at work a year from now. We had a long conversation and eventually called it. Told him if he needs me, my phone is set to max volume and he can call me at fckn 1 am on a monday night if he needs I wont give a shit. Its been 2 years now. He found the love of his life, got back on track and he's a happy buck. Damn proud of him.

Especially the thought of attending his funeral services. To the contrary his “send off” by very much younger, yet none the less fellow U.S. Marines was far more moving than I could have imagined. His services ended I followed those Marines into the parking lot as they exited. One Marine was very ill. On his knees and vomiting. Yet during my father’s funeral service he remained rock solid. I served with honor. I was sure to let them know that myself and mine will be forever grateful for their service. I am not a U.S. Marine. In the Bible, God used an ass to deliver a message. Why can’t he use this ass? A lot of people miss out on great advice focusing on the messenger. No matter what he was kicked out for, he still did 23 years. He still became a sergeant major. He still had accomplishments and still had a life worth value. Did you? Try to contact their close family or friends. You don’t just go into the house that’s how you put yourself in danger and them also. @@Wraithling. I mean, it's probable. But, I was in for 8 years myself. Today's "leadership" are slimy and corrupt. It's more than likely that the neighbor having a key is a psy op/misinformation on their part so this dude could get away with what he did. But the cameras said otherwise. If the neighbor actually did let them in, then the footage would not have mattered at all and he wouldn't have had to retire. In fact, the footage would have shown the neighbor letting him in and would only have served to clear this guy's name.

For those wondering he didn't break into anyone's house he did a wellness check

That’s HIS version. Even in the most mundane wellness checks off base, I’d ALWAYS have a 2nd NCO with me. If they don’t answer the door I’d never ask a neighbor to let me barge in. I’d involve the local PD.

Shouldn’t even be a thing. Off base or on base. the Sgt. is owned by the USMC. Local police shouldn’t even be involved. Shits changed. Was the sgt home? They should have sacked and zip tied him and brought him back to base.
