Regarding the "low salt" indicator, the Intex pump manual actually lists 4 possible reasons: 1) dirt or scale on titanium plates, 2) low salt level/no salt 3) electrolytic cell cord is loose, or 4) possible electrolytic cell failure. We got this error and added salt because we assumed that was the correct thing to do. Later we realized our titanium plates are covered in scale. Now our pool is extra salty and we have to combat that problem plus descale the plates.

Hopefully you'll be back soon with videos. I just purchased a salt water system this year (been following you for a few years now for everything pool related) I would love to see you do a video of your initial startup regarding the salt water. I watched one video the other day and the guy said you have to startup like a typical chlorine pool first and run everything before you even begin the salt water. I think you could make a better understanding video to follow thoroughly.

I bought the 12x24 salt water pool system. I love it except it's not producing chlorine. I live in Arizona sun and the stabaiizer is getting better. But I think I better go get some help with the stabalizer so the chlorine won't dissolve daily. I have had the pool up for 2 week now and chlorine is very low.

So is this your setup? 12" pump - hayward inwall skimmer (new B port) to A port. 16" pump - inwall strainer to aerator (new A port). 16" pump - above wall skimmer to waterfall.

Hi, thanks for your reviews, just one question, since these pools are metal frame shouldn't the salt be bad for the frame?

Another great review for another product we are considering for our pool, I do have a question (if I missed this in the video I do apologise), is the salt you added (the bulk) a one time per season deal? The 160lb? (Our pool is the exact same as yours, only difference would be water level), and just have perhaps a bag in reserve for the low salt times? So far the advantages to this generator just seem to be no daily adding of chlorine and a gentler on skin and clothing etc. Upfront cost seems to be a just a little more expensive than buying bleach, that may depend on brand of salt purchased (I only did a quick Google search on salt) but less maintenance for me is a no-brainer over cost, if the salt is a one time per season deal. Thanks!
