The additional paper packs are nice, but they have a pre-determined color that can't be changed. Only the default papers give you color options, which is very disappointing considering how much they charge for the paper packs. :(

Glad you let me know. Yeah the paper seems very expensive hence why I haven't bought it yet. Sorry to hear about your issues, not sure if you could maybe get a refund, but I guess that depends on if you use those papers or not. Anyway thank you for watching and commenting.

Thanks Tracy, glad you found it useful, it was heavily edited to fit it all in. Hope you find Rebelle 5 as much fun to use as I do. There are a few other videos on my channel covering some features that I glossed over here and I have been working on a new video today which might be out tomorrow. May be of some further use but either way thanks for watching and commenting, it is very much appreciated.

Bob i made two brushes by copy one and one as a second copy . How do the brushes know what group they belong too like oil, watercolor, ink, pastel, etc. If I made a copy of an oil brush and then decide i want to use it as watercolor how does one go about doing that.

I haven't tried this specifically but under the help menu you can see show library folder. When you open this it will take you to the folder structure in windows, not sure if you are using windows or mac. Under brushes and the folder you created the brush in, you should be able to copy or move the brush to another folder. I would guess that you might need to restart Rebelle for the change to happen but this is the only way I think would work. EDIT. Just tried this and it worked for moving them into different tool sets but you do need to restart the program.

@@weebobart hi Bob. Yes the folder structure I have seen. My thing is how do you tell a brush what kind it is. When you create one or copy it to say your favorites which is a nice feature. At what point does it know about it's kind. Oil. Oil express. Watercolor. Pastel. There has to be triggers somewhere as when I see myself making a brush I think about its looks and acts. So say you make a brush and somewhere you tell it hey i am a watercolor brush then change your mind and say oh this would be good as a pastel also or just want to change it. If all brushes are all kinds which i doubt then the various categories would be meaningless. I started using the default pastel brushes today and said oh this one i think i want to be a watercolor brush. As i see it when you add a group it's called my brushes then you have to change the group name to mxoil or mxwat or something. So far its eluding me.

@@Megzamani I don't have an answer to that one I'm afraid. I will have a look over the coming weeks and see if I can see the details, as you say there must be some triggers as to what type of brush it is based on the sliders that are shown however just having a look while writing this, the oil brush I created when I put it into the watercolour area now has different sliders. I might still not be understanding what you mean to be honest and need to spend more time creating brushes over the coming year. Anyway hope you have a nice weekend.

Yes I have been trying them out recently, I do discuss them very briefly at the end of my Rebelle 6 in 24 minutes video. I have been messing around with them today a bit and really like what they can bring to the table. I did catch a few of your videos the other day as well, not that I know much about firearms as they don't really exist in Scotland unless you are a farmer and those are of a limited type. Interesting to see your videos on the different types but the closest I will get will probably be some Call of Duty game, not that I get a chance to play my Playstation much these days. Anyway hope you have a great New Year Megzamani. Cheers as always for watching and commenting.

Can you import your own paper textures?
@weebobart
Жыл бұрын
I have never tried and my initial thought is no, you could probably import a texture paper as a layer but I doubt Rebelle would interact with it as it does with the built in texture papers. In the 3D world they must load what is known as a bump map into the software for each paper they provide. If you are not bothered about that then you could use your own paper texture layer as I said above. Similar to Sketchbook Pro which I have shown in a few previous videos. If I give it a go and find differently I will let you know. Cheers for watching and commenting.

Kyle I have just tried and you can import your own paper textures and it appears to work. You import them from the paper selection screen at the start, quite surprised by this as it is a really great feature. Glad you asked the question Cheers.

Hi. How to mix impasto on different layers in Rebelle 5?
@weebobart
2 жыл бұрын
I have had a quick look at this and it may be possible using the pigment feature, however that only exists in the Pro version. The other feature which I haven't looked at it detail is the influenced layer. My own personal preference is to get my drawing to certain stages with multiple layers and then duplicate all layers and merge them. I then don't lose my original layer structure but can then work on just one layer to get the results I'm trying to obtain. Sorry I can't give a better answer and if I figure this out I will make a video or perhaps do a community post to show an answer. Cheers for watching and for asking the question.
