Nothing superficial about guitar colors....I'm 'shallow' like that too...as they say supposedly in Germany..."the eye gets to eat too". Love pretty things....guitars are no exception. What's pretty gets played more. Had a 2622 (lefty, green, pretty)...sold it for an Eastman T486 (keeper for life). I got an '85 MIJ white strat too....white's nice...maybe swap in a pearloid pickguard. Experiment with boutique pups....buy used...they make a huge difference from stock pups. Love your vibe. Great early collection!! Cheers from WV-USA. Oh,...Tele's RULE!

I used to have an Electromatic as well. Really gorgeous clean tone that's great for arpeggiated stuff (especially if you use lots of 7 and 9 chords). But with a little overdrive, it can scream with the best of them. The sharp, treble sound makes them surprisingly great for hard rock leads. The guy I bought mine from installed a string butler on it. Said it helped keep the guitar in tune better, especially good considering the Bigsby. Not sure if those things really work, but worth checking out. Great, chill video. 😊✌️

Honestly, a vintage guitar is great, but a good vintage amp is such a wonderful thing. They are so sooo beautiful, warm and resonant, and they emphasise every single touch. If you want some vintage gear, and are looking to continuously improve your playing, I think a vintage amp could be the way to go. I recently got a 1966 pro reverb and my gosh, I've been waiting my entire life for it. I didn't know it until I got it, but it suddenly felt like I'd been playing half an instrument my whole life. Just my thoughts.
@zainplaysguitars
17 күн бұрын
@@S-be6hp that’s actually pretty good advice and a nice bit of perspective. I totally understand what you mean about playing half an instrument (i think it’s very easy to get caught up acquiring guitars and pedals when searching for sound because they’re more convenient 😅) but amps are just as crucial to the way you sound as you play. I’ll definitely look into amps a bit more!
