I'm sure you already know - when you say you're sending things "straight to the trash" you really mean you'll be keeping it until you have the replacement part (that often doesn't come with all of the little parts) in hand ;-) That's one of the biggest lessons I've learned in watching rebuild videos over the past few years - even completely destroyed parts often has some uses (that and the OE part numbers which can sometimes be tricky to figure out from diagrams online)...

Thanks for the comment. Yes, usually that would be the case. There are some damaged parts that I've held on to for various reasons, but by the time I took this off the car, I already had all the part numbers for all the replacement parts, so it did actually go directly into the trash.

I have brought life back to a couple of those in worse shape... Id be more worried about the crash supports being pushed back and in either direction too much ... but atleast you have no airbag deployment in the cabin from those front shots which means that the brakes worked... although someone was a tad bit late on them and it took a nose dive into and under something. Better make sure that oil filter housing and the under belly goodies are all intact!!

Thanks for your comment. You're absolutely right, I'll make sure to check the oil filter housing carefully!
