Once again Sunsynk is at the leading edge of innovation. Well done Keith and team. Hope to see this soon in South Africa.

1 hour? Not if you still need to wire it into your house. Minimum 3 hours and then your good at it. But brilliant concept. I hope to get it soon in SA, cant wait!!!

It's actually quite expensive in South Africa after wholesalers and retailers add their mark-up. If space isn't a problem it's cheaper to buy a separate 5kw inverter and battery
@stefanvanzyl9090

what price are you comparing to other prices? the retail price of the powerlynk 3.6kW is circa R48k, while a sunsynk 3kW inverter loose with a 5.3kWh battery is circa R55k, without the cabling and fusing between them...

@@stefanvanzyl9090 online the 5kw inverter and a 5kw battery can be bought for R 57k. R48k Vs R57k is much compared to the output difference. Yes the 5kw does need extra cabling etc but that isn't an arm and a leg

@@Mus-Doc your claim was "it's actually quite expensive" and "it's cheaper to buy a separate"?

absolutely! He said it's not more than the price of an expensive iphone so it goes to show how much markup suppliers are adding! More than 2x

With the mppt inputs, can just one be used or does it have to be 2?

Looks amazing but when are they going yo be available in thd UK to purchase, I found them online with city plumbing but no stock and not known when they're gonna be in stock which is disappointing. Some info on this would be helpful.

NOT TRUE, I looked on their site, did a search and not there they have the other sunsynk products, so the reply to looks like one of those gimmicks to promote people to look at their site. So just say that as an honest business. Or update the website to show the lifelynk and stock levels.

I agree this is needed in the line up BUT, and its a large but, what is the benefit of pairing batteries which have a useable life of say 15 years with an inverter which should last 25 years really. Also this is MUCH bigger (circa 20-25%) than the the GivEnergy AIO, ac coupled (6kw inverter + 13.5kw battery) and the Tesla Power Wall plus it doesn't include the Gateway device for seamless power outage switchover.
@stefanvanzyl9090

the battery is easily replaceable/removable inside, since it's compartmentalized. It's also physically smaller as well as significantly less expensive than the GivEnergy AIO and powerwall, even buying 3 of these (16.5kW inverter, 15.8kWh storage) is cheaper than powerwall. Lastly, there's no separate gateway device needed, since it's already built-in - reducing cost and complexity of installation even further.

The GivEnergy AIO and the Tesla Powerwall aren't genuine 'all in one' because you still need a separate inverter for the solar PV panels.

Hi Keith. I've tried emailing uk office to have no response. I like the look of your products but I need something that can accept the output from Hyundai ioniq 5 and allow me to use the car to minimise grid import. Do you have a product that can do that?
@stefanvanzyl9090

if your car gives out 230Vac at 50hz or 240Vac at 60hz, all single phase sunsynk hybrid inverters can use it to run your home/charge the batteries via the AC or GEN input ports. If your car gives out DC power, then you'll need a separate device in between, since sunsynk has no means of directly communicating with your car's BMS.

@stefanvanzyl9090 Perfect. That's what I wanted to know. My car and a few others on the market now are capable of v2l which is AC output. In my case its 3.6kw so could easily cover general load during the periods of either no sunshine if used with solar or used as a storage battery if on a cheap tariff during the night. Having such a big battery sat unused on the driveway makes no sense so if can get this working in the way you describe it could be a great asset to ev owners that have v2l

MCS doesn't have anything to do with inverters. They only offer product certification for panels and mounting equipment for solar PV installations.

@@VinoVeritas_ really ? Well what about DNO approval and electrical testing certification then.. Are they ready to go in?
