This harness looks great! I love harneses like this, and use one similar on both my dogs. But to everyone whois looking for a contraption to teach the dog not to pull, NO HARNESS OR ANY DEVICE WILL TEACH A DOG NOT TO PULL. YOU HAVE TO TEACH THE DOG. Every step forward you make where the dog is pulling, the dog is being rewarded for pulling. Its getting what it wants. It's going forward. A harness allows you to keep control of your dog if it pulls, so you won't lose your arm or your dog like in a flat collar. So putting a harness on facilitates you being able to teach the dog, but it doesnt actually teach the dog. Think about it like glasses. It's horribly hard to learn to read if you have bad eyes and need glasses, and so glasses make it possible to learn to read, but the child won't automatically know how to read by putting glasses on.

Just bought this harness and it has changed my life. I could never walk my dog before and now we have the most peaceful walks. She still pulls a little, but instead of her taking me for a walk I’m now in control. It will take actual training for her to learn to walk on a loose leash, but I’m so excited I can finally enjoy our walks! All other harnesses have failed me by sliding off to the side, but with this two ring design it stays put even when she pulls. Thanks Victoria!

Her reactivity has nearly been cut in half in the 6 months I've been using it mainly because I'm finally confident enough in control to be able to get out on walks even with my toddlers. For my house restricted doberman this was a hid send. Buy Aug of this year given how well shes doing I'll be able to take her shopping with us. 6 months ago a duck would mean I was nearly picking myself out of the ditch.

They wouldn't use a wild and untrained dog. There's no such harness that stop pulling at the moment dog wears it. The difference is a no pull harness gives you better control in training and shorten training time. I have used a similar one on my stray husky and it does a better job than any other harness.

I actually recently bought one of these for my 7 month old GSD. As much as they may look like they help from keeping a dog from pulling- he pulls with such strength. I always find myself being dragged unless I hold onto the leash very tightly, which causes a red hand! It really depends the energy level, I believe, as well as the age. The younger the more demonic and the older the more relaxed.

The reason prongs and choke collars are used is because not everything works for every dog. Did you hear about the dog put down because the owner only used positive training and didn't want to use any prongs or anything like that? Don't act like some dog training tools are bad. If used correctly they do not harm dogs. Not everything works for every dog.

Trainers use prong collars because they work and produce immediate results. Stillwell convenient used an elderly and (likely) trained dog to show you how this harness "works". I would like to see a before and after demonstration how this harness corrects a pulling issue on an untrained dog. This video does nothing but manipulates low information dog owners for the sole purpose of marketing positive dog training.

I got my puppy a front-hook harness the first day I had her and it really is the best way to counter a pulling dog because if she pulls it will automatically redirect her instead of making it a game of who can pull harder. Don't mistake it for a training tool though as suggested at the end of the video, because you'll still have to train your dog to heel in separate sessions and when you're not trying to go somewhere. The harness just takes away the automatical reinforcement that pulling gives. One year later now my dog does a perfect leash walk and heel! :)

I wish my 22 week old sporting dog was as calm as this older lab. I will say though this is just like the no pull harness sold in USA and it definitely works better on a dog compared to connecting the leash to a regular collar. It takes practice … but it will work. Harnesses like the gentle leader front clip harness can be harmful cuz the front strap always sits very on the chest, and thus hinders their gait and can cause damage over time. This design, with the center strap and buckles high on the points of shoulder doesnt fall down in front, so doesn't interfere with any joint movement. I use to use a gentle leader harness but switched to a freedom no pulll harness (same design as this) and my 2 year old 60 lb golden runs like a gazelle in it. Scam artist...says e-collars are bad and buys the cheapest one to demonstrate how painful they are. You don't understand the proper way to use an e-collar and your demonstrating that e-collars are only effective if they are painful. E-collars are used at the lowest setting (typically 3 to 4 on an e-collar that has a max level of 100) a dog can feel 99% of the time (feels like touching your fingertips lightly together). FYI, the dog is still pulling in the video!!!! There is so much tension on the leash during this demo. Simply teaching a dog "pressure and release" will guaranteed stop a dog pulling in literally less that 5 minutes and will last for a lifetime. "No-pull" harnesses are one of the biggest scams in the industry. What a shame. Also, she put-down a dog instead of using "aversive" methods which would have 100% solved the dog's aggression issues.

Thanks for watching. Totally agreed that choice is imperative in good progressive dog training, but sometimes the practical reality is that it's difficult to manage some dogs that pull strongly. This harness is designed to help complement loose leash walking training protocols by helping to control the dog's motion without pain or discomfort. The chest connections help ensure far less encouragement of pulling back against you than traditional connections between the shoulders. Hope that helps!

There's no such thing as a "no pull" harness. I can walk anyone's dog and have them not pull on a harness or a leash. At the same time, the same people are amazed and wonder why they can't get the same result. It's about teaching the dog that the leash is a boundary that they must not go outside of. I keep the leash short with a fairly tight drip. It's like hitting a wall for the dog. I'm also fairly strong. I work in industry and move bulky items 10 to 11 hours a day. Most people will probably need to use other means such as *gasp* a prong collar if you can't get your dog to stop pulling.

" I can walk anyone's dog and have them not pull on a harness or a leash. " Oh nonsense, try it with an untrained 50KG dog and see how far you get.

I can get my 90lb dog not to pull without doing any of that nonsense and we're both happy with each other afterward (and my fingers aren't numb from clinging for dear life to her leash either). it's called "training"
