As someone who has made several websites with different tools like Next.Js, Framer, and Webflow. I used low code tools because although I can code I find myself slowing down by coding UI. This is literally the best of all worlds. Builder allows me to focus on design without having to compromise on functionality that low-code tools bring. Amazing tools guys, keep it up!

Has anyone actually built I'd say complex web applications using tools like these...there are literally hundreds now...I feel like all the demos are marketing style sites, like this one is. I spent most of last Friday working with Locofy to build something, started at the page level which failed and then moved to component level. To be fair, it produced code that had the UI render perfectly, but the code was far too complicated and not reusable enough, that it didn't seem right to proceed. Anyway, I'm excited to try builder with typescript, NextJS and MUI and see if it fairs any better.
@matthewbeardsley7004

Okay, gave it a quick go and was a bit dissapointed...perhaps it's me. Tried to export a component but that's not supported yet, tried to export one instance of that component and the text was all off and a left edge border that should have been a few px, suddenly was like 30px, also chips were shrunk so that the text wrapped onto a new line.

@@matthewbeardsley7004 That is why you need front end developer, we tried using these no-code tools, but it failed building complex UI components.
@Grepsoft

I think these tools are very good for building stunning websites with not much complexity. The moment you start to add complexity you would need to roll up your sleeves and code. E.g. not sure if this tool can handle request like custom signup/signin page with NextAuth using jwt.
@nuvotion-live

We are definitely still at the very first generation of these tools even starting to exist. They are just tech demos at this point but show a lot of promise. No code tools are great if you can do the whole thing as no code. As soon as you need custom functionality or try to maintain it you’re screwed. I think this stuff will not be used alongside traditional development. It will mostly sit around being useless until it suddenly replaces the need for manual development for wider and wider domains. But yeah I don’t see anyone excited to try and manually maintain computer generated code

This is exactly what people said about IaC Automation tools when agile workflows ran robust code on monorepo's, and when you compiled the code the whole team took a week off until it finished. And here we are. Wether it works(now or yet) it really irrelevant. in less than 2 years its gonna be a standard

Man, has anyone gotten this working? I tried getting it working on the beginnings of a NextJS project, and it would only even show up (the little button) on a few pages. I couldn't get my components linked to the builder, and now I've spent like 30min trying to uninstall it because I can't spend any more time to figure it out. I've tried to search for uninstall instructions, deleted everything I can find from my package.json, and even used git to try to find out which files might have been modified. It seems like it'd be great, but man, I can't find almost any info on how to make it work or how to remove it. (Edit) got it removed. I'd still like to try it, but maybe it'd be good to wait for a bit.

I share the same sentiment. Despite spending tens of hours, I couldn't even get the basics to work. (P.S. I'm an algorithm engineer with only previous experience in developing with Vue.js.) The promotional video is top-notch, yet the documentation is a disaster. It's one of the most disorganized documents I've ever encountered. Instead of clearly demonstrating a minimum viable product, it's crammed with complex concepts that only serve to confuse and lose the user within its pages. I'm deeply disappointed with this product. It may be well-designed, but the documentation is an utter mess. The KZitem channel doesn't provide a comprehensive demonstration of a minimum viable product either; it's just the CEO boasting about how great their product is. They should test the documentation with someone who has never used their product and see if they can figure out how to create a minimum viable product amidst the chaos. I'm unsubscribing and walking away from this trainwreck.
