Really pleased to hear this was helpful. I find one of the key things that helps when learning exposure is to think in full stops, so with the aperture go from 2.8 to 4 to 5.6 to 8 etc and with shutter speed go 1/15 to 1/30 to 1/60 etc. Don't get hung up on half and quarter increments, it is way too confusing. If you have a digital camera I suggest going into settings and change the scale to progress in full stops. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a positive comment, best of luck with your photography.

@mattsergeant6487
4 жыл бұрын
@@polkapyr OK, now I understand. Beyond the 'correct' exposure, shutter speed and aperture control two main chracteristics of your images: (1) Shutter speed for recording of movement i.e. blur or frozen (2) Aperture for depth of field. Therefore, your choice of setting will depend on how you want to record the scene / subject. I suggest some research on depth of field and capturing movement. Best of luck
