In this workshop, participants will learn some of our Afro-Indigenous dietary and cooking traditions through the Dominican perspective. The history of Dominican cuisine will be highlighted through the myriad of original peoples that make up the island’s ethnic landscape. In addition, participants will learn about the essential herbs and spices of the Dominican Vegan Pantry and how to properly treat and incorporate specific vegetables and meats substitutes to create authentic vegan Dominican food.
