If it weren't for Khan Academy, I probably wouldn't have gotten into Berkeley to study Physics. All throughout middle and high school, I hated math, but now I absolutely adore math and I'll even do math in my free time. I am forever thankful Sal, thank you so much. I still remember watching this video from 9th grade.

Rushil Patel In high school, I've learned that just forcing yourself to do the work and studying whether you want to or not is the best way to go. I did a lot of volunteering and extra curriculars. I also participated in some state competitions for math and science.

Your teaching methods are way more interesting than teachers in school or tuition. Just a 9 minutes explanation video like this is better than a 2 hours of tuition. You just made me feel like maths is an interesting thing to do. You always use creative ways to explain the maths problems making them more understandable. Thank you!

I think the food example was great! I was able to listen to the example in the kitchen without thinking about the numbers and completely understand the concept of functions so when I saw the g(f(x)) example I did it in 2 seconds. Thanks, keep up the good work!

Sal, I think you did a great job. I never had functions in my live before. I heard of them, but never attempted them. I liked the example because it was an abstract way of thinking how functions produce other results. I liked how you didn't jump right into the numerical explanation. I think the first explanation helped me understand functions better. Thank you

The sal(food) function may seem ridiculous, but in mainstream microeconomics (neoclassical), that's really what we do. The firm is a function, you put "stuff" into the firm and it produce things... like a firm(input) function :)

Whenever I first found out about these videos, I thought it was an actual school where people attended and you only meant these videos to be for those people. I guess as a supplement to what they learned in your class. I don't know why I thought that, but I'm glad it's not the case, because I felt excluded and now I don't. Thanks for the videos.
