First semester in university was so hard because not knowing how proofs work, than I got used to it and despite same or heavier proofs in this semester I do better. Definitely a skill that should be taught in high school.

I'm very excited for this one. I really want to learn more about logic cause I'm trying to teach myself some more coding on my own, now that I'm done school. Logic comes up a ton.

Great video Patrick! When is the next part coming out? Thanks for all your hard work. Learning how to prove things is really fundamental. Could you discuss where to start in a general proof?

Hey +patrickJMT just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Finally i passed my Maths exam with the fullest marks only thank to you you helped a lot of guys out there. Though your guidance after 3 years i passed my math exam that seemed to be impossible. Now i've more confidence in maths, i always loved math it's something that excites. In sign of respect now i'm going to unsubscribe your channel and try not to unlearn what i learnt. I hope that i can do something for you please let me know. Thank u thank u thank a lot.. cheers!!!

Could anyone help me out with a linear homogenous differential please? p’=-(1/a)p Where ‘a’ is a constant Thanks
@vivekpanchagnula815

I dont remember much from dif eq but cant you do: dp/dt = (-1/a)p => 1/p dp = (-1/a) dt then integrate both sides to get ln|p| + C1 = (-t/a) + C2 then shuffle it around to get p = e^(-t/a)*e^C1/e^C2 you can replace the constants with one big constant: p = C*e^(-t/a) I'll leave the checking the answer to you.

PatrickJMT I don't get the "If...then" explanation. Not saying you are teaching us wrong, just saying "I" don't get it. We are looking at "statements" here, not "commands" for some computer program. We have two statements "p" and "q" that each may be either true or false. In that context (and maybe I am missing something) the statement "If p then q" could never be "false," it would only be a "statement" of fact, and the fact would not change no matter what the case/status of "p" and "q." For example; consider the statement "If p (is false) then q (is true)" versus the statement "If p (is true) then q (is true)" and versus the statement "if p (is false) then q (is false)" and versus the statement "if p (is true) then q (is false)." Each of these statements is just a statement, and if correctly relating the "fact" of the situation, then the statement "If... then" is "true." It appears we must QUALIFY the "if...then" statement from the start by saying, for example, "if p IS TRUE then q IS TRUE," and where any fact of the situation in contradiction of BOTH p and q being true would be a "false" statement, and, indeed, only where BOTH p and q are "true" is the statement "if p IS TRUE then q IS TRUE" a true statement. That, above, is what understand, but not exactly what I got out of the video, and, in fact, it is my own thinking on the subject, because I don't get your explanation of "If... then." Not saying it is wrong, because I don't know what you are saying. What I am saying is; is what I am saying "correct?" OR, do I have the entirely wrong idea?
