I am a veteran WordPress person and could not find a good enough reason to move to WebFlow. This tool is the first I see that implements site building correctly, not following any of the useless "AI" builders out there but combining truly useful elements in a way that follows, for the first time, exactly how we build sites - pages. I intend to adopt the tool and hope it develops into industry-leading platform.

This is a game changer, one thing to note is this comes slightly on the higher pricing for someone who uses this feature once a month, my take would be a one time charge for per Sitemap + wireframe (including 4 pages) would be definitely a killer for my region, as a PM we mostly work on shipping features on the existing platform, as coming from a startup view i see this as a really amazing tool to get things started. Kudos to the PMs and devs working on this. Currently using the free one and already see changes on the first page its quite amazing.

Question about pasting the Figma designs to Webflow. Do You have to paste the wireframe before making changes to the Figma design? Or can you make the changes to figma, and then paste it to Webflow? Or is that just not recommended? Because I could imagine that some of the design wont translate to webflow.
@sebobastiseppobas

In my opinion, it is best to only design in figma and not export from it. This means you have to reapply your design in Webflow, but that should be much cleaner than exporting from figma. And with the help of the style guide, it's pretty easy to do.

This is great in theory, but definitely has flaws. I build sites weekly with Relume in Webflow, and I am very familiar with your tools! My biggest issues with the builder is that it completely removes the possibility to use the same classes on each page because it renames all of your classes for you. I purposefully used the same header on all of my interior pages to be able to use the same header classes and it would edit my pages site-wide, but now that they are all renamed because of the builder, I have to go in and delete them all and re-add them in to have the same classes again. And, the export to Webflow capability is not efficient - could definitely be Webflow not allowing Relume to create pages - but you literally have to copy and past every page into Webflow. I found that for the site I am building it's taking me almost twice as long to build than normal. I am going to keep giving it more time, and see if I can find other ways to use the builder, but in it's current condition, I am not a fan.
@craigalbert8054

Hopefully they add a feature where the AI figured out sharing of components between different pages. Seems like it isn't that far out of reach. That would fix the problem for you, I think.
@philipstancil264
Жыл бұрын
I'm going to focus on the positives. It's in beta, and is already fundamentally better than pretty much anything out there, and more streamlined with Webflow than anything else. I noticed it renames the component classes, too, but in general I think that's a good thing. I'm guessing that with time, they'll find a way to make the headers and footers more like Webflow components (what used to be called symbols), so they maintain greater cohesion. But dude, come on-saying it's annoying to copy-paste pages that have been built in no time, which is already saving you TONS of time… this is the epitome of first world problems. It's very easy to be a critic, but much harder to build something that will inevitably be criticized.
@JonahJudice
Жыл бұрын
Definitely not saying that it's not the best that's out there, and I 100% think that it's going to get better with time.. As it is now though, using the Relume Builder actually takes me more time and steps than with my usual process. For sites that have completely different pages, and for clients who don't already have content for their site, then this tool is perfect and I'll totally be using it. But, for sites with similar interior pages and for clients who have content ready to drop in, it makes more sense to build out one interior page and style it, create the framework of the page with components, then duplicate the page and customize from there. I build in Webflow daily with Relume, and have created really efficient systems for myself to work quickly - and with the builder in it's current condition, it's just not efficient for me. Not critical for no reason, but with the hope that kinks are worked out, and it's better with time. It's the same with anything AI related. But is this a first world problem? TOTALLY. I see how my reply seems super entitled - but also hope that you see that it's good to be critical sometimes as it makes us all become better and better.@@philipstancil264
@lucianchevvy97

@@JonahJudice As an example, could you not just find the first generated header, make that into a component so it's customisable and then go to each page that has the header, simply select the component, delete and then drag in the header component from the component panel? Seems like it'd be pretty quick. What do you think? I'm curious on the actual workflow of people using this.

Is there any way to distribute all of the pages evenly across the canvas? I tried dragging individual pages but that only changes their order on the canvas. It doesn't change the space between each page. Thanks!
