Today was my first day out delivering, it happened to be Amazon Sunday. I’ve been watching your videos and they have helped me a great deal in getting ready for my new job. Thank you so much!

Thanks for this video!!! Q1 Does a case correspond to a route? Q2 And how long does it usually take to do one route? Q3 How many cases/routes out of your office?

Yep. That's what a case is for. It is a tool to help you put different mail streams in route order. Most routes are evaluated for around 8 hours a day. When you are just starting, expect that it may take an hour or so longer. It also can vary by the day of the week - Mondays are usually the heaviest day. It also can vary by season. Christmas is heavy, summer is light. My assigned office has only 3 rural routes. The one I volunteer in has 2 full rural routes and one auxiliary route. It also has 8 city routes.

Casing is hard because it goes all the way around, I get confused because even numbers then I can’t find odd numbers in the process

Never work at the post office!!!! They treat their employees like dog shit! You get 1 day per week off, but, really they work you 10-11 days straight then give you 1 day off! I did 8 months.... im in shape and this job wrecked my shoulder, and my mental health!!! This job will take over your life and will stress you out everyday and night

It definitely can! You have to be choosy when you pick an office. Some offices work like a family, others will chew you up.

Yep. It wasn't to bad this year. It helps that in my area Amazon is delivering more of their own stuff. My worst day was around 200 scans, which is a lot but manageable. Good luck with the new job!

Hello, David I’ve been watching your videos. 😁 my shadow day is in few days more But my question is since I will have a different route every day how can I handle this ? I’m new I don’t have any experience and that make me more nervous 😩

So I have heard the horror stories where brand new rcas are expected to do full routes right away. In my case, they gave me 3 Days to learn my primary route, taking a third out three days in a row. After that, then I had to take it out on my own. After I got the hang of that, they then took 2 days to train me on a second route. In short during your first year or so they should take it easy on you.
