Good evening! I hope you're all well, and I'd like to say a very big thank you to everybody for helping us reach over 5,300 subscribers! This evening, we've got a very special walk in the most northerly place this channel has ever been, the city of the Highlands: Inverness! I really hope you enjoy this walk around Inverness, and here's a little bit of bonus information on this gorgeous city. We talked a lot in the walk about the major battles near Inverness, particularly the Battle of Culloden in 1746, but did you know that there was once a battle fought in the city over a wheel of cheese? In 1668, it's said that a man refused to pay for a wheel of cheese after causing it to roll down from the castle into the River Ness, prompting angry retaliations from fellow Invernesians, eventually growing into a town-wide brawl!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos - I certainly enjoy making them, from travelling to the destinations to all of the research that goes into the videos :) You ask a very good question, and while most of my videos are made on simple day trips, I do occasionally do multi-day trips which require overnight stays :) I like to stay in local hotels, but in towns of all sizes across Britain you'll find really good chain hotels like Premier Inn and Travelodge too, so it's up to you where to stay! On renting a car - I currently make all my trips by public transport, which is excellent in the UK and can get you to so many different places :) That being said, if you'd like a little more flexibility or would like to venture deep into the countryside or the mountains, then renting a car is definitely worth it to move between different towns! My favorite city in Scotland. What a pity the Scottish people lost the balls. I'm an ancient worker at Kishorn Village. To built a oil platform and in this time the men have the balls. Poor Scotland.

Very inactive city, more of a village than a city and not enough people to befriend
