Thanks for the share! Just bought my first $25 battery replacement before watching this video and that will be the last time, lol.

Thank you for this info! Awesome! Also found his info - CR11108, CR1/3N, CR-1/3N, DL1/3N, and 2L76 batteries are all equivalents of each other as they have the same properties, only different designations. However, two SR44SW/LR44/L76 can be used to replace these batteries.

I have seen a few of these videos and someone always comments that it it negate/void your lifetime warranty. Let me tell you about Invisible fence's "lifetime" warranty that came with the $1400 purchase & install: 16 months after their company installed it, the system failed and the transmitter toned continuously, indicating a wire break. There was no wire break. I called them & they said they were going to charge me $90 just to show up at my house. And if the problem was that the transmitter was defective, they would charge me an additional $40 to replace it. I asked about the "lifetime" warranty and they said that with electronics many components often aren't covered. So what flippin' good is a "lifetime" warranty? What a complete scam. Save money whenever you can & stop paying these scheisters. GREAT VIDEO & thanks to anyone similar trying to help ordinary folks from throwing good money away unnecessarily.

You are the man!! I felt the same way about these stupid replacement battery packs Invisible Fence is trying to peddle, $20/ea.. These things are made cheaper than I even expected. Which in this case is a good thing. Perfect video!!! This is Invisible Fence trying to have a consumable product to sell.

The $2 battery approach works like a charm. I feel silly for purchasing the batteries from Invisible Fence for three years at the outrageous price they charge. I ordered 8 batteries online from BlueDot for under $12 including postage. I am not mechanically inclined, but I took my time and this video was a great help. THANK YOU

Just make sure you keep at least one invisible fence brand battery and if you call them out for anything ensure that you put it in the collar

Now I am down to only a couple of the original battery casings, because the dog has lost a few along the way by scratching at the collar I assume. There are some cheap replacement ones... which have dubious batteries but honestly that doesn't matter. I just refuse to pay the crazy price for an OEM one. I guess I might be the guinea pig and try one of the dubious ones on amazon lol

Hola paisano , gracias por el video, yo también tengo Invisible Fence y también me amarga comprar sus baterías caras. Otra problema que no me gusta es, no poder aumentar o bajar el signo de corrección. Has averiguado como hacerlo solo??? Gracias

Bravo! For years I just replaced the battery this way. Can you still take apart the I.F. batteries this way? I started using a cheaper replacement battery, and now they're made so you can't take them apart -- molded in pretty much one piece. Even the knockoff batteries cost ten bucks -- I want to go back to $2!!!

Awesome brother - I'm cheap like you and hate getting ripped for a cheap battery! Sadly I've been paying $10 a battery from invisible fence for a long time. Well done.

Thanks for your post. I have 3 batteries 2 receivers and one battery tester. When I insert the batteries into the tester the lights come on right before the locking position, However the lights go out when it the locking position. I suspect this is the same thing happens when the batteries are inserted into the receivers. Any Idea what the issue is? The fence is functional.

Anyone have instructions on how to replace an Invisible Fence Micro Shields battery? I removed the old battery and removed the connector from it, but I was not successful in adding the connector to the new battery leads (plus one crimp flew off and away). Anyone know what connector type it is?

"Matt D" comments negatively on **EVERY* video on youtube that shows you how to DIY batteries cheap for invisible fence. There's always a comment from him saying it will void the warranty or make the collar stop working. I"m guessing he works for the company and wants to scare people into paying them the high battery prices. Just saying. Look at the comments in the videos.

They apparently make them differently now. The newer types have a two piece construction which it seems would be much more difficult to defeat. Another money for nothing corp!

For your information: Most invisible Fence receiver collars carry a lifetime warranty. Doing this will void your warranty. Replacing the battery is important, but replacing the cap is important as well to keep the receiver in proper working order.

Wouldn't recommend doing this as it compromises the functionality of the collar and it will also negate your lifetime warranty on the collar because it will malfunction eventually if you keep doing this.
