The IOCDF is not a religious organization, nor do we promote any specific religious faiths or practices. IOCDF makes every effort to provide adequate resources for all faith groups and will continue to support the community by making these resources available.
The IOCDF Faith & OCD Roundtable videos bring together individuals with OCD, clergy, and clinicians for a collaborative conversation on OCD - recognizing that faith and mental health treatment do not have to be mutually exclusive.
This Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints roundtable video includes leadership from the speakers below.
Nathan Gibbons is a former Bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served for nearly 5 years in this non-paid assignment and very much enjoyed his time working to keep the faith strong within members of his congregation. By profession, he is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and works for the Church's Family Services Dept. Nathan has spent many years working in both ecclesiastical and professional settings with missionaries of the Church. He is the father of 5 children and 3 grandchildren.
Rebecca Dew is a life-long member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has seven children and one granddaughter and enjoys running, cooking, sewing, and playing the guitar. She has struggled with OCD since adolescence, but through counseling, she has acquired the coping skills to live an abundant life despite OCD.
Annabella Hagen, LCSW, is the clinical director and founder of Mindset Family Therapy. Her experiences with one of her son’s challenges with OCD, and their search for a provider who truly understood and knew how to treat OCD, motivated her to specialize in treating OCD. She loves to see her clients progress as they fully engage in their treatment and experience the journey back to living a values-centered life.
