It was basically just balancing equations and some stoichiometry. Now, I'm preparing for my first Orgo test. I hope it goes well and you're very helpful!!

Very important: The bonds in H2O (aka. H-O-H) are NOT hydrogen bonds. They are just polar covalent bonds. What IS a hydrogen bond is the bond between a hydrogen atom on one molecule of H2O with an oxygen atom on another molecule of H2O. For larger molecules, it can also be a bond between a H and a O or N or F on different parts of the molecule. But takeaway is: Covalent bonds and hydrogen bonds are two different things, look up hydrogen bonds for more details :-)

If you put H2O and NaCl next to eachother the sodium in salt would be attracted to the oxygen atom in water (because negative attracts positive) and the chlorine in water would be attracted to one or both of the hydrogens in water

In Greek schools instead of learning the electronegativity value of each atom, we learn this; F>O>N,Cl>Br>S,I,C>P>H
@sheilablen3938
2 жыл бұрын
Can u solve this problem pls..... Ionic bond is formed between a metal and nonmetal whose electronegativity difference is 1.9 and above , while covalent bond exist between two or more nonmetals whose electronegativity difference is less than 1.9.Based on these descriptions, classify the bond formed in each of the following compounds as ionic bond or covalent bond .... I hope u can help Me🙏 🥺
