This is what the yearly minor upgrades are meant to do. Apple gives more than 6 to 7 years of software support, so technically if you keep your device physically in good shape, the only thing that's gonna age is the battery. So when you do upgrade after a decent gap like 4 or 5 years, it'll legit feel like an upgrade. And Apple wants you to keep your device that way. And they offer good resale value if you exchange a physically fit phone. For the people saying innovation is dead and phone upgrades don't feel so special anymore, maybe you're upgrading too often..!? Trying to keep your old phone alive for as long as possible is the appropriate way to go. Nice video anyway!

You are absolutely right but I bought pro for the extra camera capabilities. But this year both phones are very similar and all the things discussed are same for both the phones. I'll say if someone don't want to use iphone for content creation or vlogging it makes more sense to go with the base 16 version.
