Apple software design example showing user expectations interacting with the Dynamic Island for the first time.
The controls on the dynamic island are not representative of the larger app that it expands into.
This leads to lower usability within the app as the user cannot seek to a specific part of the song quickly.
Apple should not have a similar looking bar in the app for a totally different function, volume control, under the playback controls.
Rather, the expanded app should have the same interface arrangement and features of the dynamic island with the ability to seek represented above the playback icons.
On Android, KZitem Music would be opened, and opening to either the queue or artist page, the next click on the playback panel would be correct and get the user to the Now Playing screen.
Neither is perfect, but this does highlight Android in this case taking one less click to get to where the user would naturally expect, rather than getting them to a queue with nothing in it and having to click an additional time.
