When you know what your DPCS is telling you, you can find faults very quickly and easily. I was able to go straight to the problem with only a quick test of my DCPS and viewing of the amp draw. Quick spikes as shown in this video usually will indicate a shorted power rail. Also, a large steady draw can indicate the same. A small steady draw DOESN'T usually indicate a short, and more commonly indicated a MISSING line, such as a disconnected coil or resistor. A full amp draw BEFORE prompt to boot usually indicates a short main rail. Learning and categorizing what your DCPS tells you is the quickest way to solving board problems, or at least giving you a good hint in the right direction. View this video and others on my channel to learn what your amp draws mean.
