Just tested the controller out yesterday. It’s cool but I like the G8+ better. Just heads up there is an Xbox mode not sure if it only works when you connect to gamepass but if you hold the bottom right button and x at the same time it changes the color of the light to green and is viewed as an Xbox 360 input. 😎👍🏼 Love the channel btw. I always tune in each week to check out the new products.

Thanks for another great review. I write that a lot under your videos; but, you're consistently great so there's not much else I can say. A few thoughts: • Thanks for testing the interchangeability of the magnetic buttons between this unit, the G8+, and the X2 Pro. • Speaking of GameSir and interchangeable buttons; have you seen their new "Tarantula" controller? That thing's face buttons are magical. Due to the way they're backlit they can change their displayed lettering at the press of a button. The future is now! • I'm with you in that I think GameSir should make an "X5 Roi" or a "G9 Bourbon" that's a hodgepodge of the best features from GameSir's broad telescopic lineup. Weight isn't an issue for me, because I have very masculine wrists, so I'd like to see them add an integral 10k mAh battery bank to run the cooler and charge my phone when I'm gaming on the bus, or on my lunch break, or out in nature.

I wouldn’t agree on the best D-pad on X2s. Usually D-pads on GameSir goes from bad to decent, at least for me personally. On a telescopic controller, this D-pad is the best so far and by best I don’t mean it’s the greatest but it’s better than usual. And yes, a G8 with a cooler, sign me up!

The issue with the Gamesir X3 and X3 PRO models is their triangular case cutout, which prevents smartphones with a thicker camera module from making contact with the Type-C connector. I, for instance, have the Nubia Z60 Ultra, and it's challenging to play with this controller due to its cameras. It's unfortunate because the controller has a great feel and is comfortable to play with.

@GameTechTalk

I doubt it would be an issue but I do not have that exact phone to test unfortunately. With that said, I feel like GameSir knows the popular phones and make sure to design around a handful of them to guarantee the compatibility.

The cooler is thermoelectric peltier, that's why it needs a high amp charger. The fan is to cool the hot side, so ambient room temperature can affect it's cooling. Did they indicate how much volts/amps required to run the cooler in the manual? This would help phones that have fast thermal throttling.
@GameTechTalk
18 күн бұрын
They don't indicate how much volt/amp it's using but there is a faster mode that is only possible when having 9V / 3A input. Needs to be precise, no converting either.

@GameTechTalk
7 күн бұрын
There isn't an Xbox mode so you would have to find a solution, which I can tell you is called BetterXCloud, a viewer put me on it a couple months back, it is by far the best way to play Xbox Cloud on Android/iOS. It's a bit more demanding to get it running on iOS (takes maybe 10-15mins) and there is no rumble but the quality is so much better than Microsoft's native app, it's not even funny.
@JackieRobert-y2n

It works better if you open up the rumble on chrome and play game pass through that way. Feels more like an Xbox experience. If you look it up on google they have a step by step tutorial 👍🏼. I just tried this controller yesterday and got the rumble to work for gamepass and it worked but I preferred the g8+ but that’s just me.

What @icerink239 said but even if you don't care for that specific aspect, the USB connector on the X3 Pro does not protrude a lot, so in my personal experience, it's been pretty much incompatible with cases at all. There's always the option of stripping the rubber protectors but I would recommend against that as they protect, but also redirect the audio.
