Thanks for this. I got one of these for Christmas and set it up yesterday. I was having trouble with the robot sending them too far across the table without bouncing. My 9 yo son was getting pelted! I finally got it, but your video will certainly reduce the learning curve. Much appreciated.

Did you improve (your skills, technique, security) a lot by using this particular robot?

Just received mine, and I like it. Question - this robot is very good for low shots. Do you know a good setting to send out higher shots for smashes? I'm thinking I might need to set it up on top of something higher than the table. Thoughts? Thanks for posting this!

Hi Ben, Thanks for this video. I tried it out at a friend's place a couple of days back and have thinking of ordered one. Your video is very simple. I have a question; although the robot does not explicitly have side spins, is it possible to somehow tweak the set-up to achieve side spins? I was considering the Newgy1040 (which has side spins), but the Newgy reviews suggest that spins are not as prominent. The V300 (Feb 17 version) sells at $200 too.

heyjugsy I don't think it would be possible. The only way would tilt the unit to the side but the balls would fall out.

Can you make a video on the oscillations settings like is it possible to get a forehand under spin and then a backhand topspin etc . That'll be really helpful 😊

do you have settings with oscillation ? kinda want to get this product for footwork practice
@bennewman4272

Christian Adrian Aniceta yes it has oscillation at 7 speeds. Good for basic footwork but for something more advanced you might consider an Amicus but at a lot higher price. See my other videos for oscillation.

is there a setting where you can set the robot to smash the ball at 45 degree angle and you have to stand behind the table at least 4 ft. back to return the ball. I want to practice chopping and playing defense. do you need to place the robot on a small stool or something? please let me know. thanks.

One of the faster topspin settings should get the distance but you'll struggle to get the angle as the head is not really adjustable like a Newgy.

It did help improve but only when supported by some coaching of proper technique. If you don't have the correct technique you will just be locking in bad habits.

Not sure why you have topspin and backspin on at the same time, surely it should be one of the other!
@bennewman4272
5 жыл бұрын
Generally the speed also dictates the spin therefore by adding in some backpin on the bottom wheel, it reduces the topspin. Theoretically, if you have your settings the same for topspin and backspin ie 3,3 5, 5 etc it will produce a no-spin ball.

Thanks for the answer Ben. I now have a V300 but the speed of the balls are much faster than yours when on the same settings which is really annoying. I have written to the manufacturer to ask why.

I had the same problem, you need to restart the default settings ;) 1. connect it but don't activate 2. press F-, F+, F-, F+ 3. display should show 4 numbers 4.the second number is standard setting for topspin - for reducing speed press topspin number until the second number is 2 5.the fourth number is standard setting for backspin - for reducing speed press backspin number until the fourth number is 2 6. display should show now 1222 7. exit settings by pressing F-, F+, F-, F+ YOU can ENJOY a GAME :)
