Very much looking forwards to getting back in the LMP3 and this is the perfect start. Interesting that you say to use loads of kerb at the left of Indy. I've always tried to tuck as close to the kerb as possible without touching it to benefit from the slight banking there.

Yes! I do that in gt3's but have always found downforce cars csn ride that kerb. To be fair it's not going to be worth any time, but it might help avoiding the gravel on exit?

i bought lmp3 a week ago so i'll try to race it. I know that maybe 2nd month of racing in iracing is too early for lmp3 but i don't care lol and yes, thanks for the guide!

I feel this on a personal level. Struggled in the first 3 months of road racing in the rookie cars. Got in the LMP3 and instantly felt comfortable. I'm about 3% off the pace in this guide, but feel way more comfortable testing the edge to gain tenths and seconds in the complexes than I have in any of the R/D cars besides F4.

It might be that you get along better with the "downforce" cars? I do think they are easy than GT cars/mazda/vee and the FF1600.

@@Tdi99 for sure. I tested GT4 and GT3 cars at Spa during the server downtime and found that I didn't mind the GT3 machines but I struggled with the GT4. I think from a handling perspective, the downforce stuff is definitely helpful, but even from a performance perspective, shifting performance, gear ratios, etc. all feel more comfortable on the more advanced machines. I found the open wheels to be insane fun, but I guarantee I'm way off the competitive pace with them.

Be careful with the first chicane on Le Mans (1th ralentisseur). A real trap on iRacing. You go a litlle to the right on entry or a little to the left on exit ( a bit stupid right ? ) and you are done. 16 seconds and a hard brake to get rid of the penalty. Or even worst like happend with me even after braked hard in the final seconds of the countdown, the system decided to put me on the pits for another 16 seconds. Just a broken bad system.

yeah hugely bad system, maybe a slow down for 0.5 seconds, but not 2 seconds lol!
