Definitely one of the best hostel breakfasts I’ve seen!🍉 Clean and friendly vibe, not too sure about the wooden huts - sound proofing wise if you are a light sleeper. Is the roof called a durri? Made of hessian material. I’m intrigued about carrot ham as well as only ever eater carrot halwa and carrot/rice pudding which are huge favourites - not sure if that is found in Iran. A wholesome video, zero fear factor or oppression. I tend to find Iranians in main a jolly race per experience.

Brother, please read this one. My name is David, and though I live in the US, I have spent time studying world religions, including Sufism and Islam. This is very important... When someone asks you to not film them, it is rude to still include them in your final KZitem edit. If they ask to not be filmed, such as the brick maker, you should not show their faces in your posted video. Another small thing, which is common courtesy is do not touch food that you are not going to eat. If you take a bread such as in the Tehran hostel, it is not polite to put it back after you have touched it. Maybe that is different in other countries, but that is my polite and sincere suggestion. Other than that, I am enjoying following your journeys, and wish you health and happiness.

Tip: 1. don't touch food with bear hands if you are only showing. Use utensil or just film with camera. 2. Don't touch the ladies too familiar way that can get them odd stares or problems. 3. Don't use Arabic language outside of regions where that language is common. People will get confused and will get you only mixed feelings. Most don't understand it and will think that you have no idea of the inhabitants, that you are rude & think little of them, that you haven't googled for easy acces information

Hey mate! Just a quick tip. In Iran just say “Salam”. Don’t use “Assalamualaikum” because it sounds a bit odd to the ear in Iran and teh people may think you are poking fun at them or you are not serious. Just use “Salam” and it doesn’t go wrong in almost any context. This is like the Japanese bow concept that if you bow too much in Japan people may feel you are ridiculing them or you are not serious or sincere. Leave “Assalamualaikum” for native speakers who absolutely know where they can use it.

Thats probably in Iran Only. Rest of muslim world (Arab and Non-Arabic speaking countries) "assalamualaikum" is the most proper way to greet the locals. Anyway thanks for the tip. Salam and greetings from The Caribbean.
@Hossein118
2 жыл бұрын
@@AliAli-uk9nh Salam my friend. Yes. Actually that’s only true for Iran and it’s a tricky one. Because you want to impress people by greeting them and show your kindness in words and then the people in Iran may misunderstand you like if you are feeling overly intimate with them or making fun of them. Of course they will understand your good intentions if they know that you are a foreigner and you don’t know the correct way of greeting in Iran but it is counterproductive to greet with “Assalamualaikum” in Iran and the entire purpose is straight out of the window. There are other mistakes by foreign tourists that can be turn-offs like saying “Shukran” instead of “Mamnoon” or “Tashakkor” for thanking or saying things like “Habibi” etc, which are all different stories. Saying “Assalamualaikum” is like a turn-off right smack at the beginning of the conversation. 😅
@AliAli-uk9nh

@@Hossein118 oh ok really interesting and yet educational for me as a foreigner if I ever visit Iran in the future. Thank you for your time brother. Be safe, salam.
@Hossein118
2 жыл бұрын
@Faiyaz Afsar Uddin Shihab malikul Hind The Muslim majority is true. But the language in Iran is not Arabic but Persian. So a lot of Arabic phrases have changed meanings when entered Persian language. “Salam” is the word in Iran and it is safe for the absolute majority of contexts and it’s even used by Iranian nonMuslims like Jews, Christians and even atheists. I know that it may sound tempting to use “Assalamualaikum” because it works fine from Egypt to India to Malaysia and Indonesia, but using it in an Iranian context is not very different from speaking Japanese in China! Of course Iranians will understand “Assalamualaikum” and will ignore the subtle meanings when they know the person saying that is a foreigner but the whole purpose of saying “Assalamualaikum” instead of “Hello” or “Hi” is lost here.
