Wow. This was the best highlights video I have ever seen. Because it showed the highlights, big, exciting plays in the game. Not just a stream of kickers lining up or goal and the last pass for tries. I really wish this could become the norm for highlights videos.

It was simple attack patterns from Ireland, but the difference were the tackles from Australia. You could make a highlight reel outta their defensive plays.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a promotional video made which showed what rules do game are, so people being introduced to the game could understand and follow what is going on and appreciate the referees call. This would bring up the standard up the standard of refereeing worldwide, foster understanding..........

Great test match. Cheiks planned well. His team with a whole heap of new/ish guys did well. The old masters - Beale, Pocock and the mercurial Folau really stepped up. Their forwards were impressive too. Joe however will strike back. He has managed his player minutes well. And blooded a whole group of younger Irish talent so there is real depth. Murray, Furlong and Sexton will surely start next test.

The ball didn't leave Genia's hands when he tapped that penalty which Pocock eventually scored from (off a forward pass) Had that been adjudicated correctly, the result would have been very different.

Ivor Bigun have a big fat sook about it mate. Australia had all the momentum in the last 20 minutes. Let's say it was actually a forward pass and the referee called it, what were Ireland going to do? Lose their own scrum again?

im not going to disagree that the best team won cause they did but can some one shed a light as to where the forward pass was in the last irish try?. i just dont see it from this video. when the TMO replayed the movements pre try, is it visible then? i didnt get to see the match and have watched all the video reviews on line but just cant see this forward pass. agree the first try was held up and im not questioning the outcome of the game as AUS were the better team and the last try wouldnt have changed the outcome but just cant see the forward pass.

Ireland need to play a more positive style of rugby, like they do at Leinster (I am an Ulster fan, just to be clear). Have Healy, Cronin, Furlong, Tadhg Beirne, Levy, Conan, Sexton, Ringrose all start. People like Henderson and Stander on the bench for impact after 60 minutes along with the usual impact bench of Porter, McGrath, Carbery etc.
@peteryoungpeteryoung965

Ross When 40 mins were up, Ireland had possession on the halfway line and were trailing 8-6, Murray kicked the ball out to end the half, why? NZ would never have done that, they would have played till they scored or the ball went dead.

Ahh well another loss to the Wallabies (Wallabies vs Ireland, game 2)... The Wallabies just don't have any answer, they stick to the same old, same old, focusing too much on scrumming techniques, running set lines and not able to think on their feet and lacking basic skills. Ireland were fierce tonight with all the possession. Wallabies plays can be read for miles.

Maybe every test should be adjudicated/refereed' by a foreign National team coach. 1st half, Head coach. 2nd half, assistant coach. Let's see how good their referee decisions would be. This game, a Japanese head coach unless born/associated with either teams.

Ireland fans stop crying, there was a few decisions during the game that could of gone either way. The try that was disallowed for tackling the man off the ball could have been given another day. You can’t expect to win all the time, bore off.

@alternativebassist
6 жыл бұрын
the first Irish try was held up over the line, meaning the ball didn't touch the ground and a scrum to Ireland as the attacking team was awarded. The Australian disallowed try was because the Australian number 5 took out an Irish player off the ball in the lead up to the try which is considered impeding the defence and therefore mitigation for disallowing the try. The final try was disallowed because the TMO saw a knock on by an Irish player in the leadup to the try.

have a look at stander's body language after his supposed try... he knew he was held up mate. The fact the Irish team were waiting in scrum formation while the TMO decision was being made is also a pretty good indication of how they felt about the issue

The Irish Football team represents the Republic of Ireland of which orange is in our flag. There is also the Northern Irish team, who also play in green and white and there is no orange in Northern Ireland's flag. The Irish Rugby team represents the whole Island of Ireland as it was formed about 50 years before the island was split. There isn't any orange in the IRFU's flag. If you are referring to the Orange Order in Northern Ireland (who also exist in the republic, though extremely small) then they don't represent either nation.
@m4t3matix73
6 жыл бұрын
Well I mainly was referring to the fact, that green and orange jerseys look extremely cool, but: as the colour orange in the irish flag shall represent the Protestants - who are mainly living in Northern Ireland - you could also see it the other way around. Thus - even if only in my opinion - a green-white-orange jersey would represent the peace between both nations and therefore be perfect for the IRFU :)
@aaronw667
6 жыл бұрын
irishgandalf757 well Northern Ireland wear green and there’s none of that in the ulster banner either..? I too don’t understand why they draw the line at orange. If anything it’s more representative and inclusive of Protestants in the north, as was the flag design’s intention before unionists demonized it

As for this 'worst Australian team ever', you clearly know nothing about AUS rugby, and are stuck in the mindset that 'NZ are invincible'.
