Anyone ever hear of the Aussie Bank robber Ray "Chuck" Bennett aka the "General" In 1976 him and his crew carried out the biggest robbery in Australian history "The great Bookie robbery" The bookies claimed 1.5 million was taken but a worker claimed years later the toll was 15 million .The things Bennett and Martin Cahill had in common was unreal, they were both called the general, their robberies were record robberies at the time, they both had others after their money ,Cahill had the IRA and Bennett had two feared brothers Brian and Les Kane wanting a cut. they both had personal feuds with the old bill and both were killed with the help of the old bill .

Thank you. This is the sort of documentaries I love. I live in Scotland, but can listen to the Irish accent all day. Love it.

I love the Scottish accent especially the Glasgow one. One of the best books i read was about a Glasgow villain Jimmy Boyle i was only 13 when i read his book and I'm not a great book reader but Jimmy's was arguably the best i read.

I was employed in a jewelry shop in Dublin, i was a victim of a tiger heist were the owners were kidnapped by a gang and the following morning i had a gun put my head and threatened by gangsters at gun point,I’m now crippled with multiple sclerosis,i believe it was linked to trauma and terrible depression,it’s a true story

I'd love to see the Brinks mat robbery in 1995 allegedly carried out by the monk. The van delivering the money had a Garda and Army escort ,but left as soon as the money was in the building .It was a very military style robbery a lot of planning. like the Generals robberies
