Spielberg film unsettled by union trouble
Steven Spielberg's latest film - "Saving Private Ryan" - has run into production difficulties whilst shooting on location in Ireland and Hatfield (just outside North London). The technicians union has allegedly announced it was unhappy about the use of inexperienced hired hands employed for low wages, although this has been denied by a production spokeswoman. "Saving Private Ryan" is a true story based on events in the aftermath of the Normandy landings in 1944 when a group of US army soldiers are sent behind enemy lines and risk their lives to save one man, paratrooper Private Ryan.
