Where can I get a sweater like what you wear at the end of the video when you’re eating?

Hello Jeremiah. I got that sweater in Denmark when I lived there but it's a Norwegian brand. On the neck label it says "telemark style, skjæveland of Norway". I hope that helps 👍

Great video Tom! Very informational! Keep them coming. Here in the USA (Iowa) we have Indian mounds I run across every now and then. I would love to some day come to Ireland and do some exploring. You make the most interesting/entertaining videos

Great video Tom. Nice artifact finds, it is fascinating to hold those tools that people of times past used to carve out a living, it brings them to life when you speak about them. It is amazing to visit places like these, there is a sense of wonder that can't be helped , just standing there imagining how they lived ,slept, ate, survived, hunted and spoke. If only it was possible to go back for a minute to see those places as they originally were it would be a sight to behold. Have you visited Brian Boru's fort near Killaloe yet? Worth a gawk to see the ould high Kings stomping grounds.Sher Ill even meet you there for a cuppa in the woods if your interested.

Hei! Interesting topic! We call ringforts 'bygdeborg' here. Most are overgrown or destroyed by agriculture and so on. And yes, a common misunderstanding is the thought of that its purpose was warfare and such. Some even ask why it was for warfare since we were vikings, who attacked us? Well, civil wars amongst ourselves was not uncommon at those times. But anyways, it was a lot more of wolves and bears here back then in the Middle Ages. Most bygdeborger were built for protecting livestock and storing food and resources for the (still at times) tough winter off the wild animals and so on. Great topic! Happy New Year!

In case you have never talked to someone as Eddie Lenihan, do have a care; hope you're not burning hawthorn in what is known as a faerie fort, good man. Be aware of such things as they really do matter.
