In today's video we tell the controversial story of the Iron Maiden plagiarism accusation made by members of the band Beckett.
Would Steve Harris have copied excerpts from Beckett's song Life's Shadow to finish one of his classics, Hallowed Be thy Name?
The accusation of plagiarism came almost 35 years after the release of The Number of the Beast, an album released in 1982.
The album was largely responsible for making Iron Maiden grow around the world, it was the first with Bruce Dickinson on vocals and the last with Clive Burr on drums.
Furthermore, it is the band's best-selling album and it is estimated that the album would have sold around 20 million copies worldwide by December 2021.
In addition to the track accused of plagiarism, the album also has two great classics, The Number of the Beast, the track that bears the name of the album and Run to the Hills, another track that cannot be missed at any Iron Maiden show around the world.
