Nice Ironhead Man. IMO these are one of the few Harley's that actually lend themselves to good looking cafe racers. I love that the frames aren't nearly as sloped as the later bikes, and from the center-back they're nice and straight. Did you do anything inside the motor? Cams?

Thank you! I did not open the motor up on this one. I believe internally it is all original, just upgraded the exhaust and electrical system.

Nice build man, but I gotta ask.... At this point, why didn't you just buy a carbed Evo sporty? Looks like 90% of the work was just making it look like a newer Sportster

Where did you buy the seat, lights, rear eliminator from
@BayCityRestorations
2 жыл бұрын
The seat is made by La Rosa. It was purchased awhile ago now so I don't know if they still make the same one. The lights and rear eliminator were purchased off ebay.

I'd love to do a similar project. are those stock wheels you had powder coated? what tires do you have on it front and rear?
@BayCityRestorations
4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for checking out the video! Yes these are the stock wheels that I had powdercoated. I'll throw up a link to the tires in the first comment. I forgot to add those. Also, if you want to see more pictures of this build from start to finish go to my instagram @baycityrestorations and scroll all the way back to the beginning. This is the first build I did on the page.

@@aaronhirsh5487 Thank you I appreciate it! I agree I'm constantly chasing oil leaks on this bike haha but aesthetically it is a great looking bike! also the plus side is you can usually pick up one of these era sportsters pretty cheap.

Appreciate you checking out the video! I was running a 100/90-19 on the front of this one. I think that is the stock size or maybe 1 over

Hows that seat?

It mounts nice and secure to the frame. The springs give your back at least some relief from the bumps in the road.
