Yeah, they’re not cheap but you’re supposedly supposed to make up that cost with not over watering. For our situation there’s water conservation laws we have to follow so we just bought 7 of these for our home today and got 20% for the Labor Day sale. Not cheap, but the sale helped a lot

Nice video. I was lucky to have a friend who worked for a company who installed underground sprinkler system that he installed in certain business and when I had my home built, he installed the system on my property. No pop-up heads, no water runoff and I do have 4 zones and a controller also there are some valves which the system is working great. What's good about there are sensors that tells the controller not to water if not needed. But also, I can water at night usually at 2 in the morning. I did have had trouble with 1 sensor. I could not pass installing this up because he only charged me for the parts and the lines installed.

They have newer flex hoses and are double clamped now. Originally, they had some incorrect clamping and many hoses failed. Hopefully those are good now. Been installing several lately. Nice recommendations on improvements

I wonder if they'll have a version for long skinny park strips, because I can't see this working well in those areas. Looks like a cool product though!

Jimmy. I have the same issue this summer of dried stripes in my yard from where the top 3 water throughs aren’t covering lines on the lawn. I have 3 perfectly square boxes in all zones. Support has me on the list to receive the new nozzle when they are done testing. I have yet to receive it. Are you part of the test group that you were able to acquire it or did they just send it out to you?

Hey 4runner Re:Areas not covered/“squareboxes’” Question: This an issue where two head’s streams should be meeting/blending? Thanks for your time!

@@patricksquires77 exactly. As Jimmy stated. Irrigreen’s latest software update has an interim fix called ‘Double Coverage.’ With double coverage, the system will add an additional, adjusted rotation in a 2:1 ratio, and will round down for odd numbers. So, if you have your system set at 0.5 inches (10 rotations), it would add 5 additional rotations at a shorter throw. The shorter throw is automatically calculated based on the existing points, so no need to make adjustments to your shape. Unfortunately it is only avail on iOS I believe.

That's great! I think, just my thoughts, I think these types of sprinkler heads are ideal for existing lawn. It won't work for new seeds since it will get washed away by the pressure of water coming out of the head.

I'm hoping to get that double coverage update soon. My current app version does not have that.

I would love to have this system but I would need too many heads to make it worthwhile at this time, 15k and lots of odd shaped areas. It would be cool if Irrigreen could partner with Rachio. My Rachio has all of the software functions you would like to have. Maybe if the water districts in Utah would offer some good rebates or incentives.

I think they offer a $50 rebate here in Utah. I think they should up it so more people get them and educate on how to set skip thresholds.

Could you make a review of OtO lawn system?

Curious on how would it would be on seeds for newly seeded and or renovated lawns. Might be a little rough holding that seed in place.
@JimmyLewisMows

Great question. I wish I had a way to test that. Would probably need really good seed to soil contact and a good covering of peat moss or something else.

@@Bishop_Lifestyle it currently isn’t recommended for new seeded lawns. I had to Reno a section of my backyard and the Irrigreen system completely washed out the new grass (2week old PRG). I also read somewhere in their support section of the app to use an alternative watering system on a reno till the grass has matured a bit before using the system. I have another 3500 square feet of property to plant seed and waiting for Irrigreen to have the new nozzles available before I add more of their product.

You shouldn't have to enable "Double Coverage" just to get the head to actually cover what it is supposed to cover under normal operation.

Like others have said, I would like to see an accurate test of how much water it puts out compared to price per month of watering. It would really be the deciding factor for me

If installing yourself it is substantially easier with no ‘zones’ and way less heads in general. This is where chunk of the ‘savings’ are IMO - it’s possible to self install successfully vs maybe regular system being too far out for self install and paying for pro install and not destroying whole yard for install. I am still on out in general on any substantial savings on water carrying the additional cost and risk of long term tech.

This was all amazing information. I have the irrigreen system in West Jordan, UT and have had same experiences and opinions as you. As for the double coverage that is appearantly only available on the iPhone at this time cause I didn't know how about it. I did a live chat and the agent was able to turn it on manually on the back end on all of my zones for me. I also asked if they were working on a "soak" function meaning after a pass or two it would move on to the next zones then come back once the rest are done and they believe it is in the works but wouldn't be this year as they are currently working to get the ability to skip between zones added first.

I should’ve mentioned that I made my own soak feature by running two schedules. Too much to cover!

Do they talk a lot of water pressure requirements. We have pretty avg to even below avg pressure..
@JimmyLewisMows
Ай бұрын
I believe the system requires between 40-80psi
@patrickbeckman3
Ай бұрын
My system has 80 psi and I am able to trow water 30+ feet with it. If the pressure is lower it just makes it so you can't throw it as far but 20-25 feet still allows for more coverage with less heads.

Irrigreen owner as well. I like that my B-hyve system will tell me that my system is delaying watering due to rainfall, when the system has started and stopped, etc. it has allowed me to stop it if I’m working on the yard or have a people over and we’re using the yard, etc. something I wish Irrigreen is missing.
