I feel, this could have been a better video if you would have paused the recording and figured a few things out by yourself before going on.

Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted this to be more of an unboxing/first impressions video, and ngl I thought it would have been more straightforward. I do have a more thought-out and prepared review and set-up video in the works

It's funny that from this rather unprepared and completely unedited video I found out way more than from all that promotional crap made by pseudo bloggers. At least keyboard was presented all the time instead of your face.

How do you like the keyboard almost a year later? Thank you!

Weird quest but could the thumb keys be used for wasd or rather awd comfortably? I use a razer Tartarus for gaming and I have a pretty dexterous thumb from 10 years of using it and would love to upgrade to this but I have been spoiled by the dpad on the side of the Tartarus.

it seems like you got the tightness issue sorted out. you might want to mention that so people don't get the wrong idea. and it should have come with a large allen key in the carrying case. you can also set it up so that you can press a key and turn part of your keyboard into a numpad.

Yeah thanks for mentioning this! I do include a little note about it at 7:45. I mention it more in the set-up portion, but that part didn't make it into this video, as that part was like 30 min long

Not sure the cable is a good reason to buy the keyboard? I think both the USB and the linking cable look cheap as chips. Not that I don't like the product, but for that amount of money, they could stick some braided cables in?!

I was also choosing between moon lander and ergodox (chose ergodox for cost saving). Keen to see your opinion if this is worth the extra money. Also the kinesis is even more expensive for those in AUS but would have loved to try one those out!

When I made this decision, I thought about it this way. Moonlander has the tilt/tent kit and wrist rests included. These are things I would have gotten with my Ergodox as well. If you add those into the pricing of the Ergodox, you get $354 for Ergodox vs $365 for Moonlander (USD). So basically I figured it was $11 for USB-C + a nice carrying case + the newer model. In my opinion that was worth it!

2:10 Hah, you'd be surprised how hard it is to get budget for equipment from some companies. Everybody who has a mechanical or ergonomic keyboard in my company bought it themselves.

I got the Cherry MX Brown switches. I think they're a great middle ground for typing, gaming, and office use

@@danielguzzo7563 One thing you could do is get a switch tester kit. That way you can decide for yourself which switch you like the best. I've personally tried a decent variety and decided I like browns. Didn't like linear switches, and clicky switches feel nice, but are too loud

I know! It's pretty ridiculous though if you think in terms of r/mechmarket, it's pretty absurd to spend that much money on a keyboard if you think objectively

@@Richardlizhu *sweats nervously* y-yea totally. Nah but I totally understand that most people think it’s dumb and ridiculously expensive but to me keyboards are a fun hobby and kind of an escape from stress. But I totally agree that we pay way too much for stuff
