I opened up a savings account with them, since I already have the PayPal Debit Card and PayPal Credit Card accounts, since I use PayPal often. Plus at the current rate of a 4.15 APY, it was a pretty good option. Hope the APY stays high. :)

Does the interest come with a tax cut? If not, we would need to declare it right? Any idea how much would the tax cut be?

What do you mean? Yes the interest is taxable. You would receive a 1099-INT and have to report the income on your tax return

And then, PayPal will block your money (like they often do), pretending that there is an issue verifying your identity, or some "unusual activity on the account", and you can kiss your saving bye-bye. 😁

So technically if i save 10000 in my savings with a 4.3 apy shouldn't that be a daily amount of 400$ so by next month i should have $12,900 interest for a total of $22,900?
@DavisBergstromCreative

No, APY is Annual Percentage Yield, not Daily Percentage Yield
