I was on accutane when I was 14. Worked like a charm, but there's a few things you're going to need. Plenty of water, eye drops, menthol lip moisturizer, and SUNSCREEN!! Cannot address that last one enough!

Hey I’ve been wanting to take this for my acne but I’m scared because of the mixed reviews… people say it’s poison and others say it saved their lives… I just don’t know what to do..

@@MissMichixo I think the first thing to do is to go to dermatologist and he will decide by certain blood test and by looking at your skin and if he recommended for you just listen to his/her advise and learn from other people journey and the best advice is to keep up with the doctor and to not change it because it’s a bit of a long journey and you don’t want to start many times.

Accutane was 100% worth it for me. I had acne from age 18 to 32. It wasn't usually severe but it could be. I decided to take accutane in 2017. Ive had maybe 3 pimples since I completed my treatment. We're currently in 2022. My acne is in complete remission. 7 month course - 20mg, 60 mg and finally 80 mg.

@@kushalxettry7382 I stopped taking the meds 2 weeks ago so I haven’t been experiencing back pains as of late however, I did not pay a visit with my derma yet but she said this time, I only need to take 2 pills a week since my acne is completely gone. The back pains never stopped when I was still taking it last month. I’m guessing it’ll stop by the time I take them twice a week.

I am on my second day of my first round! I must say that I feel and see a difference already. My lips are very dry my eyes are dry. I had a bit of nausea last night but I think that is because I took 2 pills close together just so that I would have a fresh start the next day. So far so good though!

No its not worth it. taking a cytotoxic chemo drug in the form of an overdose of retinoic acid is not worth the risk of clearing acne, especially with the phenomenon of delayed onset toxicity aka side effects manifesting months post exposure. good luck

@@ZoeMiyoko i respectfully disagree. poisoning oneself should never be a medically available option in my opinion, and I have a lot of contempt for my colleagues who use such crud methods to treat innocuous conditions such as acne. I hope you have had a full understanding of what you were consenting to and that your body does not punish you later on for this choice and that you remain healthy and vibrant for many years to come.

@@SludgeMan90 I'm 15 YEARS post two courses of Accutane. I had all the common side effects while taking it but no nose bleeds. My doctor told me that it can't discriminate and will dry everything and possibly some things permanently. So today I do have somewhat dry eyes and some minor eczema around my eyes. I occasionally use a very mild prescription steroid ointment for this. I also have generally dry flakey skin all over but was told some of it is from too much sun exposure as a kid and teenager. The biggest dryness is the soles of my feet. I wish there was another treatment or medicine as effective as Accutane but to my knowledge there isn't. It's possible there are still unknown negative consequences that may occur in the future but as of today I'm glad I took it.

@@SludgeMan90 Have you ever had acne? For some of us having acne all your life and you tried EVERYTHING its worth it. Also Accutane is Vitamin A derivative known as a retinoid. It is said that your body will react to it as it reacts to Vitamin A.
