Yes, the IAT will plug into a different location on the airbox, only the MAF itself is truly deleted.

Yep just not shown yet- tuned it for headers, and full exhaust. We were going to go with a single, but we love the quadpipes so we went with corsa. We will be showing install of headers. Got a project going?

@@FatboysGarage Any drone with that ? I've got an e46 m3 as well with a lot of bolts ons. However I'm at the point where I need to decide if I want to keep the car and do a proper csl clone with carbon body parts and intake or move on from the vehicle. When I see videos of the high revving single exhaust screamers I lean towards keeping it .

@@dwainegreen The Corsa was previously installed on my friends M3 and personally i liked the sound of it. He went with a motor swap so i picked up his old exhaust system. The RPM capability is something that attracts me to these cars too so i get that! When finances are in order, what we would like to do is build up an engine properly, cam it up and if its track only, even consider a VANOS delete. If you're wanting the performance, most tuners agree that the single exhaust is the way to go. If you decide to g full CSL conversion, cam it up to and you'll have a real screamer. With the carbon roof, hood, trunk, rear seat delete, and Cf fenders you'll have a super light car too. These are all things that are in my mind anyway. I think some things that may help you with your decision is considering the items on the car that need to be done structurally: Frame reinforcement, Rear brace between the rear shock towers, RTAB reinforcement ( not often shown), subframe bushings, Clutch, Diff and all those factors that play into having a high horsepower engine in these cars. Without these types of things done it makes running all that power difficult without breaking stuff. What do you have done on it already? Personally the M3 is just a favorite so i will stick with them. Once you get the issues worked out of them they're great and reliable.

@@FatboysGarage As far as performance upgrades are concerned I've installed a big brake kit, steel lines, radium oil catch can, afe cold air intake, turner pulleys, ALL stock bushings have been replaced with poly bushings, rear subframe reinforcement , coilovers, adjustable camber arms , H&r adj sway bars (favourite mod thus far)...I've had catless headers and a performance muffler on the car but they are now residing in my basement. The stock vehicle is very capable and can be upgraded, however the handling characteristics of front engine sports coupe seem to fall short of a mid or rear engined car ***from my experience***. I'm well aware that although it's a 20 year old platform , the correct upgrades and driver skill can allow it to hang with many modern cars. I guess I need to decide whether I want to create the car that performs and handles like I want or just buy another car that checks the boxes. First world problems .

Coupe sport lightweight. little different in deutsche but that's the english version. its a version of the M3 only produced in Europe.

How did you get the front strut tower installed with the CSL Turner Motor Sport intake without hitting and rubbing strut tower, ECS Tuning states tower can NOT be installed and will hit CSL intake.

just add 2-3 washers on both sides so its places a few mm higher.

The comment below is correct, we used 1 washers on each side and it just clears the box and the hood. In the meantime we have swapped to an aftermarket strut tower brace.

I noticed by the end of the video no "CSL FLAP" aka "snorkel) was added to the airbox. Do you need the snorkel to run a carbon airbox? I've been looking at the Karbonius airbox for myself

The Turner Motorsport airbox uses the bell curve for airflow, we have a video explaining why they did this instead of using a snorkel. I hear the karbonius is also a great box.

This really depends on what US state you are in. Most states it's not an issue whatsoever. But theoretically no, it wont pass emissions because it's not US OEM. That being said i know of individuals that have passed emissions tests with the CSL converted ECU. Best to ask those who do CSL conversions to the ECU, they will have better answers than us.

@@FatboysGarage The Z4M has a different ECU (MSS70) and it cannot run the stock CSL tune or a CSL style MAP sensor.

Unfortunately, it cannot. The MSS70 ECU in the Z4M cannot run the stock CSL tune made for the MSS54HP. It requires a custom Alpha-N tune which is not expensive nor does it require a dyno tune. The CSL runs an Alpha-N tune stock anyways. The MAP sensor is only there to add one or two very small calculation factors and to allow the car to run in a better limp mode rather than only relying on the TPS sensors. There are one or two really good S54 tuners who offer pre-calibrated tunes ($2oo-3oo) that have stock drivability with standard bolt-ons such as a CSL airbox, cams and exhaust. Look up Paul Claude - www.pcstuning.co.uk/. He specializes in S54 tuning and he has pre-calibrated tunes (dyno tested) and offers live dyno tuning if so required.

Does using a new DME give mileage tamper dot or mismatch anywhere? About to do this same route but can’t figure out if I should buy new dme or not since car is an 02 thx!

no it does not tamper or mismatch at all. I did the brand new DME so that if i needed to put it back to bone stock then i could.
