Heres the deal. These restraints need to fit the general public for safety reasons and “plus size” or whatever its called now is not the general public. There are things you can do to lose weight and if the restraints were to fit you perfectly it would be terribly unsafe for the standard person. Along with this no there would not reasonably be “plus size seats” due to what qualifies for this as most workers are teenagers who dont really care they likely wouldnt really know who to let sit there and who would not.
@camden_96

That's all common sense and doesn't really need explaining to an adult woman - I'm sure she's fully aware that her weight inconveniences her. I'm not sure why a plus size woman making a review for other plus size people, needs to be seen as an 'attack' on the park or society in general. This video is simply: 'if YOU are plus size, here's how many rides you're likely to get on before you spend £(x) on a ticket/trip'. I personally do not share this issue - but if I did, then this would be valuable information if I was thinking about visiting with friends or family - and making an educated decision on how comfortable I would be with having to stand to the side, while my group goes on the ride. I think that you should let people have their space (this is her channel, made for her followers), and not intrude with your patronising comments.

What happened on that was the park illegally modifying the specific seats on that ride to allow larger people to fit. It wouldn't happen at any respectable park and if the bar closes far enough to allow the train to dispatch then it's safe. The Icon Park incident is enough for any park to not make these kind of, and I must reiterate this, ILLEGAL modifications.

I remember one incident at the Swarm in Thorpe Park, where a lady couldn’t fit properly into the restraints due to her extreme size and weight no matter how hard she tried as well, she was then told politely by the staff numerous times to leave the coaster, but she kept denying and the whole confrontation lasted for 45 minutes causing many people were losing their patience with her, telling her to please leave and with some young kids chanting “Time Waster” but in the end she made a tantrum claiming that Thorpe Park, the rides and all those people in the queue were all “fat phobic” lol 😂😂😂😂😂 Edit: I think she had an argument with another passenger as well.

I don’t see why there is so much hate here. I used to be 4 stone heavier than I am now and started my diet / exercise regime about 2 years ago. During the early stages, my friend had a birthday outing to Alton Towers and even though I had lost about 1/2 stone by then, I was terrified I wouldn’t fit on the rides. I would have LOVED to find a video like this; it would have spared me so much stress, anxiety and fear of embarrassment. I knew I was overweight and I was working towards fixing it, but was invited there in the meantime so what is so wrong with this lady providing information to help others in a similar situation who may also be on their own weight loss journey? ❤

I’ll tell you guys a story. I’ve been smoking cigarettes since I was 18. Fully aware of the litany of health risks the whole time and still choosing to do it anyway. The bottom line is that I like to smoke. It’s my life. I accept the consequences. I have to leave my pint, and go out into the rain if I want a cigarette. A minor inconvenience that I’m willing to tolerate. When I go to a theme park, one of the questions on my mind is: “I wonder if you can smoke in the park? Or if they have smoking areas”. If I find out they don’t, what are you gonna tell me? “Just quit smoking?”. I’ll tell you to kiss my ass. I’d wager you probably wouldn’t give a shit if I drink or smoke. I can still go to the theme park and have fun, just with limitations. So how is this any different? It isn’t. No, it’s different only because you get to punch down and feel good about yourselves. Talk about fucking sad. If you were truly healthy, you wouldn’t be shitting on someone helping out those who are too self-conscious to try tester seats themselves. Why are they too self-conscious? *You.*

I mean I read a few of the comments and you definitely make the best counter argument, I think the booing effects in the video subliminally tell people that she is unhappy with the park because she can't fit where she doesn't say that it's just giving people around her size an idea of what they can do. Also I'm 6'6 and a lot of parks don't allow me on their flagship coasters and I always check maximum height restrictions to see if I'm taking a gamble by going there.

Baring extreme circumstances anyone and everyone can, whether that means extra activity or simply eating less, it is a choice. Now if someone is paralyzed or missing limbs they can't really work out as effectively or at all, though they probably wouldn't want to try or be allowed to ride anyways. Now it's non my business if someone cares enough about their health to be able to safely get on roller coasters or just in general, to some reducing food consumed can be like kicking any other addiction and can be related to mental health to which I do truly sympathize, however if someone really wants to change they can. Now if someone is too short or tall for a roller coaster, that's completely beyond their control.

can the people who are leaving hate comments please just get a life already? i used to be bigger when i was younger and i was extremely active and loved eating fruits and vegetables and grilled chicken and stuff like that. but my father was a drug dealer and addict who was too high to cook so after school he just got me and my sister fast food. he died and less than a year later my mom, who was an alcoholic and addicted to pills, fell on concrete and cracked her head open. she has permanent brain damage now so if i wanted a home cooked meal, i had to do it while taking care of her and my sister and the house and i was literally 13 years old. i was exhausted all the time so it was usually fast food again. but when i was 16 i developed a severe eating disorder because i was bullied for my weight. my organs were literally shutting down and i was so close to dying but i was getting compliments on my body so i continued not eating. my best friend at the time actually helped me to start eating again and she saved my life. she ended up leaving me though for one of the guys who bullied me, and it caused me to fall back into my eating disorder. i’m almost certain he’s the reason why she developed an eating disorder too but that’s a whole other story. my other best friend was able to help me again and now i’m trying every single day to recover. even though it’s hard sometimes when people tell me that i used to look better when i wasn’t eating. long story short, you never know what someone else is going through and your words hold more power than you realize. fat people know that they’re fat. and “fat” isn’t a bad word, but assholes made it a shameful one. so a lot of people are more comfortable with “plus size” since “fat” has been used negatively so much. to the creator of this video, please try your best to ignore these miserable people who have nothing better to do than to spread hate. you’re beautiful and you deserve all the love and respect and support in the world. keep being yourself and always do what makes you happy 💕💕💕
