I reached out to them about the inserts where the clips go feel out and they never answered me. And I love benchmade. Got like 5 of them. Just hurt that they couldn't help. I even offered to pay to get it fixed and they never answered.

I am going to do another one of these videos with the warranty. It is time i sent mine in again but there is an option you click to replace the handle and I think that will do what you want

You could ask them to replace those parts . You didn’t . You need to ask if you want the blade replaced. Did you not read and fill out the info ? When you set it up to be sent back . They will replace the blade and if you want to keep your old blade they charge like 30 bucks for keeping your old one .

Yeah I asked them for the lifesharp warranty not damage warranty, I was curious what they were going to do and see how it turned out. Not nearly as sharp as right out of the box. I will do another video in the future torture testing the blade and getting it replaced under warranty.

Unfortunately benchmade changed their pricing structure… I inquired about a blade replacement for the exact same knife and was quote $75😭

Sent them a $300 triage to sharpen. They said the envelope was open and the knife was missing. Nothing they can do and I’m out of luck. I still edc a bug out but now I purchased a works sharp knife sharpener and sharpen my own knives. Beware

Thanks for the info. I'm going to send mine in again and see what happens. There is mail theft unfortunately, however I don't know what happened in your case.

@@colgesuksjust FYI, when sending in a knife for warranty or lifesharp they specify it should be sent in a box to avoid the knife being lost in an envelope

That's good to know. At this point I don't remember if I sent it in a box or not.

I think the best one they made is the 940 with the aluminum handles

I am not familiar with that model. I have mine because it's my EDC and it's light and not big. What makes the 940 good?

@@unprofessionallytrained3956 It is Benchmades most famous knife. Has been made for over 20 years. Nothing even comes close to the quality. Have a google search , it is THE edc knife. Makes the bugout look like a plastic joke. A 940 will last you a lifetime.

Ahh, that is a good looking knife. I'm not looking to spend $300+ on a knife. I still went Benchmade for the warranty. Send it back a few times and it'll last a lifetime too 😅

@@unprofessionallytrained3956 You can find them for 215$ at Blade HQ. Just never buy off ebay.... Reminds me of a couple of sayings = Poor man always pays twice. . You only cry once.. lol. By the way thanks for the video. But yea 200 bucks is a lot of money but i have close to 60 folding and auto knives and will be selling them all now. Just need one good knife.

I do that with most of my tools. I haven't had a problem with the bugout. I've even cut roofing shingles with it. There is a reason I'm not buying Chinese Gerber or Kershaw knives lol. I just don't want to spend that much on something that can get easily lost or stolen. And yeah there are too many fakes on eBay and Amazon for that matter

This is the first I've heard that. I wonder if that's because they think they would get more knife sales if people weren't buying guns.
