34 years ago, I met a guy who was absolutely not my type...and over 30 years of marriage to this wonderful, kind, sweet, totally goofy, loving, crazy guy, who made me laugh every single day, who said I love you every single day, no matter what, or where he was, no matter what we were going through or dealing with...He was taken from me 4 years ago by cancer. I'll tell you this; he wasn't my type, but he was the perfect one for me. There will never be another one like him, and I don't want anyone else, any way. I'll grieve for him until I take my last breath, when I sincerely hope he'll be there to come fetch me. He promised he would. I can only hope that everyone experiences a love, friendship, and partnership like we had. Man, I miss him so much. 😞😢

I wouldn’t bother telling these people how happily married you are Andria... these new age folk don’t understand. And don’t care that you’re happily married. Why? Because all of my clients are female women who are new age spiritually inclined, they’re all in deep pits of loneliness due to no longer “resonating” with their partners. Go to any yoga studio and you’ll find that half of its attendees are lonely women who have taken self love too far and alienated themselves from their families and friends in the pursuit of divine love... they don’t like happily married people as it’s a reflection of themselves they don’t like to see. Who am I? I’m the happily married shaman they come too for help when their loneliness makes them sick. I’m the one that hears their stories and helps them cure their diseases when they manifest in the body. Believe me. I’ve watched a few of them die beside their beds because no one else was there to look into their eyes and hold their hands and comfort them. I’m that crow that takes them to the other side. And each of these people I’ve sat with? Self induced loneliness thanks to new age spiritualism. (Except 2 I’ve carried over) This is not how our creator wanted things us.

@@Machielovic DNA is unique and acts as a receiver. Some conspiracy groups or those that claim to have been mind controlled have explained how once they have this DNA code you can tune into the specific frequency and control the intended target. Now I have seen some excerpts from conferences with very smart people from the likes of Google and they explain the very same thing. Off course they explain it as a exciting feature that they will be able to implement into there technology's in the future. And we all know that they have a lot of ideas regarding trans-humanism and control. Think of it this way. You have satellite television and a smart card in your decoder that needs activated so you can watch the pay tv channels. You contact tv carrier and they send a signal to activate your smartcard. Well that piece of information is beamed up into space, to a satellite then beamed back down over a wide surface area on earth known as the footprint. Ever dish on the wall pointed to that satellite receives that very same piece of information, it travels down the cable to your set top box, and yet it will only impact one set top box that has the smart card that needs to be activated. I imagine mind control through DNA would be the same, the information is all around us but not decoded because our dna is't tuned if you like to receive. It will target that one individual that it is created for.

Why do you think truth involves suffering? Why then, on the most basic level, do you think truth cannot stand alone or exist without a positive or negative attachment? Could the suffering you have attached to truth be more likely caused by a sort of cognitive dissonance that arises when living in states of avoidance or denial? Or perhaps it's because personal journeys are full or difficulties & suffering to some degree, breaking down parts of the ego, inducing the necessary changes for its acceptance? Also, where do you draw the line suffering for love? How do you determine how much suffering is too much? Are there different types of suffering for love & if so, how do you determine which ones are (or not) acceptable?
@do-not-covet

The psychology of 'attachment' plays a greater part in how we're attracted to a potential partner. After all, Attachment is made with our caregivers in our very early years. We go on to replicate this in later relationships. This DNA testing is just another gimmick to exploit a market.
@daniel4647

That is part of it, but genetics do play a very big part in who we become and who we're attracted to, I'd say it's at least 50%. So while I agree that it's mostly a gimmick for now, I do think it has the potential to become a helpful tool.

Can love really be 'owned' or defined? Perhaps the beauty and ecstasy in love is its indefinability, its excess/inexhaustibility and ephemerality. Maybe our current penchant for proletarianizing our wanting to think on these matters, and handing decisions over to technology, is a realization that we cannot control a many great deal of things, this troubles us greatly for it is the uncertainty at the heart of mortal existence that drives us in all of our endeavours - scientific knowledge, social fame, economic success etc - we push this away and would rather be told what we are by a thing we ourselves created in order that we do not have to wrestle with the difficulties of thinking. All to fill a void, which, is not such a bad thing really for this void-ness might work in the same way that lungs must be empty in order that they can take in air.

I loooooved the humor in this one- thank you. Request! Can you talk about Childhood Emotional Neglect? It's related to loneliness, self-loathing, depression and so much more. It's so subtle that many who suffer from it never get to put a name to that feeling of something being missing, some hollowness in their life, that can be caused by loving and well-intentioned parents who just aren't emotionally intelligent or may be traumatized and couldn't emotionally provide for their children. Sufferers are likely to unhelpfully blame themselves for many failures and deficiencies. As you know, recognizing the problem is a major step toward healing, and I don't hear this talked about nearly enough compared to how many people are affected by it, and might even unwittingly be inflicting it on their own children. It's so much harder to detect neglect compared to abuse. Let's stop this cycle.

"Many people are addicted to the experience of being in love. It is an experience based upon recognition. Therefore, they keep looking for the recognition, thinking that the recognition is the relationship. Recognition is not relationship. Many people who have this problem, and most people do have it to some degree, are repeatedly disappointed because the relationship that is the result of recognition only disappoints them. It does not have the compatibility and the alignment of purpose that are being spoken of here. Do not be addicted to recognition, for you could experience this same recognition in your daily meditation, and this recognition would initiate you into Knowledge instead of leading you into a divisive and hopeless relationship with another." The technology of finding "true love" in “The One” is based entirely upon biological compatibility. This feels more like a shortcut than a real solution. Having really good chemistry with another person is not enough, it is myopic. What about that person’s character and values? What if you find your perfectly compatible match from a biological standpoint, but this person lacks integrity, compassion, empathy and respect for others? Your "true love" could turn out to be an extremely selfish, narcissistic individual. The main issue I have with “The One” is that it doesn’t delve deeper into issues like that. There is one character in the show that says something like, “Just because you’ve found your perfect match doesn’t automatically turn you into another person”. That was a really valid point that the show didn't explore further.

Once again you have wooed me Russel. I agree completely!!! Great analysis!!! Everything from finding love not to complete you or fulfill you, but to compliment you and help you on your journey!!! To think that they (the think tanks) try in every aspect to exclude the divine inclination of nature is foolish. To quote the GOOD BOOK... "Professing themselves to be wise , they become fools"!!!

We are constantly bombarded with the idea that the only things that are important are the material. We are urged to ignore anything that can't be commodified or measured on a spreadsheet. The more we only believe in the material, the easy we are to manipulate. We are shaped far more by the intangible things we choose to ignore than the relatively small amount of less meaningful things we can objectively manipulate.

It won't, it'll just narrow down the field. The risk of it failing is still there, it'll probably be pretty high too if you have no experience and never failed before. Even if you have all the materials and tools for building a house chances are that the first time you try you'll fail miserably, but at least now you know it wasn't because of a lack of good materials or faulty tools. Sounds like a good thing to me, considering with the internet making basically the entire world a potential partner it wouldn't hurt to narrow it down a bit. Besides, trying and failing is fine as a teenager, but after you have kids failing starts to affect other people than just you in ways that probably aren't the healthiest, reducing that might not be a bad thing.

This is the love! At times, it is confronting and challenging, and you feel that it is just too much. And at times, it is comforting and reassuring, and you welcome it and are so glad it exists, that it is true.
